My PS5 adorns the top of my desk to the left of my monitor, towering over the various accessories and peripherals that make up my streaming setup (all of which feature RGB lighting effects, of course). On the other side, the glow of my gaming PC reflects off of the adjacent gaming laptop, both machines capable of playing titles that demand a lot from the hardware. And yet, I’ve recently found myself pining for the 32 and 64-bit days of yesteryear, when machines like the original PlayStation and Nintendo 64 reigned supreme....

For several months now, Destiny players have been regularly testing their mettle in the Trials of Osiris, a new multiplayer mode added with the House of Wolves DLC expansion. They’ve tried their best to go 9-0 in the hopes of reaching Mercury, where a special treasure chest awaits with rare loot and glory, but not all have been successful. Moreover, some have found that perfection is only possible on specific Trials of Osiris maps, while other arenas pose too great a challenge to their chosen fireteam’s play style....

The Pit of Heresy dungeon is one of the many activities included in Destiny 2’s Shadowkeep update. Players that have yet to explore the Shadowkeep content should try to complete it, as there are both armor and gear rewards in the questlines. At this point in Destiny 2 Beyond Light, many gamers have already explored everything Europa has to offer. On Luna, guardians can still complete the many essence quests as well as the Nightmare Hunts....

The Trials of Osiris have been a weekend tradition in Destiny for years, but the popular Crucible event was just added to Bungie’s Destiny 2 earlier this year as part of the Season of the Worthy. While many Trials of Osiris weekends have gone without a hitch since it debuted in Destiny 2, issues have come up since the launch of the Beyond Light expansion that have kept fans of the game from playing the mode....

With the official launch of Destiny 2: Forsaken, players may be trying out all of the new activities brought into Bungie’s online-only multiplayer first-person shooter. This latest DLC makes the character level cap 50 now, and it also increases the power level cap to 600, with 500 serving as a soft cap. This jump is much larger than what Curse of Osiris and Warmind brought to the game, but some may be wondering how to push their power level....

It’s going to be a big month for Destiny 2: Forsaken, as more and more info comes out about the upcoming expansion. Today’s coverage introduces the eight barons that players will tackle in Destiny 2’s September DLC. The Fanatic The Fanatic, Fikrul, is second only to Uldren Sov himself, and is the leader of the Scorn. The Fanatic views The Scorn as what the Fallen (Eliksni) should have been, and that is eternal....

As most Destiny 2 players know by now, the Prestige Leviathan Raid has only a few changes compared to the Normal version. The enemies are tougher, and stronger weapons are a must, but most importantly there are a few new wrinkles for every encounter. But while most of the Prestige Raid changes are easy enough to articulate, the Pleasure Gardens has always been an encounter best explained through visuals. And luckily, the Destiny 2 community has come together to create some great maps of the new war beast/ dog paths for Leviathan on Prestige....

Before the launch of Destiny 2’s 2.0 Update, Bungie warned players that there would be some irregularities with their experience. With an update as substantial as this, one that is meant to pave the way for a Year 2, expansion there is always bound to be issues and Bungie has identified one and plans to fix it next week. Players may have noticed that the XP bar in Destiny 2 is no longer tracking experience earned like it once did....

Two years after it was first added into the game, a Destiny 2 player has finally solved the final portion of the Rasputin ARG puzzle. Two of the three cyphers were discovered when the puzzle was first launched, but the final leg remained a mystery to the Destiny community until now. Twitter users, Javano and Bachmanetti worked together to solve the puzzle and posted the solution. The duo discovered the answer by online using a diamond icon as clue, and knowing that some sort of weapon was involved....

Like any game with an evolving meta based on new releases, Bungie’s free-to-play first-person shooter Destiny 2 is subject to the overabundance of certain play styles based on exploits with weapons like the Telesto and improper balancing. Apparently a Bungie Community Manager who goes by dmg04 on Twitter has been keeping track of what weapons players have sent him complaints about and decided to share it earlier today. There are 12 different weapons listed “in no particular order” on dmg04’s tweet of weapons that players have direct messaged him about being OP, annoying to face off against, or need to be nerfed....

Bungie’s flagship title, Destiny 2, has run into problems with bugs in the past, and for the most part players tend to manage just fine as long as the error doesn’t break the game. This is especially prevalent with the game’s large array of legendary and exotic guns, as the constantly evolving nature of the weapons can sometimes affect different pieces of equipment in unexpected ways. One gun, in particular, has unfortunately been left in a state that pulls it out of Destiny 2’s meta for a few months now, and that would be the exotic scout rifle, Polaris Lance....

Bungie has big plans to completely revamp Destiny 2’s loot system in the near future. Players have been griping about the loot in Destiny 2 for a while now, whether it be Eververse-only cosmetics that seem like the perfect reward for completing a challenging activity or the lack of Ritual Weapons with Season of the Worthy. Bungie is listening, and starting with Year 4, Destiny 2 is revamping the way it doles out loot....

If there’s one thing that is true about Destiny 2 players, it is that they will find a way to level up as quickly as possible and with as little work as possible. Fortunately for them, the new Season of Arrivals has provided just that. A new bug allowing players to level all the way up to the Power cap combined with a tried-and-true AFK farming method has allowed players to cap out their level just days into the new season....

With Destiny 2 having been confirmed for PC last week, there has been much speculation as to which client the personal computer version would be available on, with some fans having wondered if the publishing giant Activision would use its own launcher for the forthcoming sequel to Bungie’s action-RPG, considering it has the capital and clout to do so. However, if the sources speaking to the outlet Gadgets 360 are correct, then it looks like the title’s PC iteration will be using Steam....

Amidst Sunday night’s half-virtual/half-physical Golden Globes awards ceremony–which was riddled with technical glitches and overshadowed by controversy over the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s lack of Black representation in its cloistered ranks–one moment stood out as possibly the most powerful and clearly the most moving of the evening. That was when Taylor Simone Ledward, the widow of late actor Chadwick Boseman, accepted a posthumous award on her husband’s behalf when he won Best Actor in a Motion Picture Drama for his work in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom....

Dave Chappelle’s latest comedy specials have drawn equal praise and controversy for the artist’s signature brass outspoken style, but streaming is about to get hit by a cold-blooded Rick James sized slap, as Chappelle’s Show makes its way over to Netflix and HBO Max from the depths of Comedy Central. Chappelle’s Show became a cult classic for many famous skits throughout its two full seasons on Comedy Central, running from 2003 to 2006....

It wouldn’t be Genshin Impact without some kind of event to keep us plugged into the game. It was most recently the Dragonspine expansion, then the Five Flushes of Fortune event, and of course we can’t forget the recent web events - if you want free Primogems, playing through these events and updates is how you get them. And the latest web event, the Daily Check-In, is another activity for you to get stuck into if you want to stack as many items as possible in Genshin Impact....

Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare’s Season 3 is in full swing, with plenty of new guns, maps, and battle pass rewards to reap. One of the most exciting new additions to the game is the Renetti pistol, based on the real-world Beretta M9. As of Season 3, the Renetti is easily the best sidearm in the game, outclassing every other pistol in practically every metric that matters. It is unlocked relatively early on in the battle pass too, making it a very attractive choice....

Remedy’s Control was one of last year’s most surprising hits. It was weird, cinematic, and offered a full range of abilities for players to master and play around with. The narrative was bizarre, the set pieces were interesting, and everything was shrouded with a degree of mystery. Now, Control’s first proper DLC, The Foundation, is out, offering a short, but a solid, expansion on the base game, tying off a few loose ends but adding a few more for players to ponder over....

Counterpart Season 1 Take the multiverse of Fringe and add the political intrigue of The Americans (with a sprinkle of Charlie Jade for those who know it), and that’ll provide some idea of what Starz’ new sci-fi thriller, Counterpart, is all about. The show pits spy versus spy in a cold war between parallel Earths where everyone has a double in the other world, and the ways in which the differences between existences can be exploited are numerous and underhanded in the extreme....
