With the next-generation on the horizon, it’s still unclear how differents games will be following the major jump in hardware. Of course, fans know the consoles will include brand new SSDs that will make for unparalleled load times and their ability to play games in stunning 4K cannot be overlooked, but how will a release on the PlayStation 4 look compared to one running on a PlayStation 5? One game that’s looking to tread the line between both the current and next-generation consoles is War Mongrels, which has just received a brand new gameplay trailer during the Realms Deep 2020 event....

Cyberpunk 2077 was by far one of the best games shown during E3 2019 last month. The long-anticipated open-world RPG from The Witcher 3 developer CD Projekt RED isn’t due to release until next year, but thanks to the German magazine, Komputer Swiat, a little more information is known about how the game’s progression and upgrade systems are going to work CD Projekt RED presented the press with an extended gameplay demo for Cyberpunk 2077 during E3 that began by introducing Keanu Reeve’s character, Johnny Silverhand....

With a multitude of delays this year, the release of Cyberpunk 2077 is finally on the horizon, which launches only with the single-player component of the game. While the hype surrounding the game is at an all-time high, many analysts are looking further down the line and are speculating what the game’s ambitious multiplayer component could look like. CD Projekt Red, the Poland-based studio behind the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077, has been fairly quiet as far as the game’s multiplayer mode is concerned....

Perks in Cyberpunk 2077 are meant to enhance the gameplay experience for the player, giving them a way to boost their character’s power level. Unfortunately, one perk in the game appears to open players up to a new way to die. A new clip on the Cyberpunk 2077 subreddit shows that players using The Rock, a perk deep into the Body tree, will instantly die if they are hit by a motor vehicle as a pedestrian....

One of Days Gone’s best aspects is the survival component of its gameplay loop. Although Deacon doesn’t need to sleep, eat, or drink, you always need to be on the look-out for materials that boost your chances of overcoming any given encounter. The various items you can assemble, like Molotovs or bandages, have the ability to make the difference in a life or death situation....

Dead Rising 4 marks the return of the fan-favorite protagonist Frank West and the setting in which he debuted, but there are shortcomings scattered about the chaotic landscape. It’s odd to think that Frank West hasn’t starred in a numbered Dead Rising title since the franchise debuted ten years ago. As an obvious fan-favorite, it seemed inevitable that the original protagonist would make his return in due time, but Capcom Vancouver apparently opted to put a hold on delivering that premise to gamers until Dead Rising 4....

Hideo Kojima is notorious for announcing and releasing his games in the most obscure ways, when Metal Gear Solid: Phantom Pain was originally shown at E3 in 2013, no one knew what it was or that it was a Kojima product, though a few sharp-eyed fans guessed. Now, with an official release date and a new trailer, Kojima is back with his first game since parting ways with Konami, entitled Death Stranding....

This week marked the launch of another Iron Banner event for Destiny, the first since the launch of the April Update earlier this month. As always, Bungie promised a few tweaks to the way Iron Banner would work, with the biggest change being an improvement to drops....

After taking a week off, we are back with another Xur update to give Destiny players the lowdown on where to find the Agent of the Nine, what exotic items he has in his collection, and whether or not any of those items are worth buying. Strange Coins aren’t hard to come by, mind you, but some weapons in Destiny are worth the effort more than others. E3 2018 is kicking off and both fans and the media are rushing through the doors to be the first to play the Destiny 2 Forsaken expansion’s new game mode, Gambit. To celebrate the event or maybe just capitalize on all of the E3 buzz, Bungie has released a new Gambit gameplay trailer. It’s going to be a long wait until Forsaken launches in September. In Destiny 2’s new trailer, the cinematic introduction for Gambit mode that was revealed this past week is once again shown....

When Destiny 2 developer Bungie initially pitched Lost Sectors, the studio claimed they were a form of “mini dungeon.” Players would need to seek out these hidden areas, venture through them, and beat a boss-like enemy. If successful, the Lost Sector would then reward the player and his/her fireteam with loot. Having now played Destiny 2, Game Rant can elaborate a little more on how Lost Sectors work. The good news is that the mini dungeon explanation is fairly accurate, and the rewards should make Lost Sectors worth the effort and part of the grind....

With Moments of Triumph having officially begun in Destiny 2, there is a new seal that players can unlock earning them the “MMXIX” title. MMXIX are the Roman numerals for 2019, thus commemorating the game’s second year. And to earn this seal and title, players will need to complete the bulk of the content added to the game in the past year. To do so requires players to own Forsaken and the Annual Pass....

I think it’s pretty safe to say that sunsetting sucks. At least, in the realm of Destiny 2, which refers to the Legendary armor and weapons having infusion caps which prevents their use in future content. Bungie has given players many reasons for sunsetting. Ensuring that weapons get sunset means that there’s a constantly changing meta and problematic weapons eventually get removed on their own. Sunsetting also means that players will have a reason to grind out new weapons and it gives the opportunity for older weapons to return in newer and better forms....

After receiving a lot of criticism regarding Destiny 2’s endgame and loot grind, Bungie promised players a more rewarding experience, beginning with its new Masterwork weapons system. Now that these special items have finally released, new comments from one of the game’s developers suggests that additional Masterwork drops will be coming soon, alongside changes to how mods work in Destiny 2. Hinting at the changes on Twitter, Game Director Christopher Barrett replied to fans who wanted additional armor Masterworks, as well as an upgraded mod system, making many Destiny 2 players believe that the features may be in development right now....

Today, Destiny 2 Director Luke Smith put out some important news on social media for players of the online multiplayer shooter. With the Curse of Osiris expansion less than two weeks away from launch and the game’s community frustrated, Smith and his team plan to address feedback and how Destiny 2 will improve next month. Luke Smith’s message on Twitter reads that he and Project Lead Mark Noseworthy will be “answering some questions and addressing community feedback” next week....

As Destiny 2 released today on consoles, fans have been eager to discover and unlock its exotic weapons. From the Coldheart pre-order bonus to the Rat King hand cannon, there are several powerful and intricately designed exotics for players to deal damage with. But one very special exotic weapon may soon be available in the game, according to an item that showed up in one Destiny 2 players’ inventory. The player explains that while they were patrolling the European Dead Zone (EDZ), a quest step called “Await The World-Eater” showed up in one of their Power weapon slots....

For the third time in its history in Destiny 2, the Whisper of the Worm exotic sniper rifle is receiving a nerf. The changes to the weapon will go live with the Season 7 update, which paves the way for new Season of Opulence content. In its weekly blog post, developer Bungie detailed some of the sandbox balance changes that will be coming to Destiny 2 with Season of Opulence. The studio had previously revealed that the Not Forgotten and Luna’s Howl pinnacle weapons would be seeing changes to impact PvP balance, and now Whisper of the Worm is seeing its effectiveness reduced to balance PvE....
