Wasting little time after word began spreading yesterday that Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas might get a re-release on the Xbox 360, Rockstar has officially confirmed the news themselves, revealing that a remastered version of the game is heading to the platform this weekend through Games on Demand. Rockstar confirmed the game’s updated release earlier today in response to a user’s support question. In our initial story yesterday, we speculated that the studio would announce the game this coming Sunday, seeing as how October 26, 2014 would mark 10 years since San Andreas first released....

Plenty of new games are headed to Xbox Game Pass this month from ex-EGS exclusive SnowRunner to Ark-like survival title Conan Exiles right through to Fortnite dodgeball, Knockout City. But, in a couple of months, you’ll be able to get the brand new The Ascent on day one of release. It has just been announced by Neon Giant that this top-down, Diablo-like cyberpunk RPG will be launching on Xbox and PC on July 29....

Developing games during the dawn of a new console generation can be difficult, but some next-generation consoles are easier to work with than others. According to a Control developer, it was apparently easier to develop the game for Sony’s PlayStation 5 than Microsoft’s Xbox Series X. The transition to the next console era can be a challenge for developers. In addition to developing a last-gen version of the game, studios must also build the game on the next-gen consoles’ new hardware....

How can you call the game Final Fantasy, I mean come on, haven’t there been like 20 of them already and even the sequels have sequels… right… amiright! Counter-Strike professional team, Orgless, claims their owner asked them to throw an upcoming tournament, prompting the team to quit and start searching for a new sponsor. Valve recently came out strong against Counter-Strike match fixing at tournaments, saying anyone caught participating in such activities will face a life-long ban from all Valve-sponsored events. Despite the potentially severe consequences of match fixing, one professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team claims their owners asked them to do it at an upcoming event, so they quit....

In the most recent Google Stadia Connect presentation, Google unveiled a number of games that are coming to its Stadia game-streaming platform in the near future. This included a handful of first-on-Stadia games that will be timed-exclusives for the platform, including the new creation game Crayta that will allow players to create their own experiences in a vein similar to games like Media Molecule’s Dreams. Google announced Crayta with a short trailer during the Stadia Connect presentation that showcased the creation tools in action....

Apparently, gamers are starving for a rat-themed Metroidvania. The Kickstarter campaign for Curse of the Sea Rats - an epic hand-drawn Metroidvania - officially kicked off this morning. Within nine hours of going live, the campaign was fully-funded (and then some). At the time of this writing, the campaign has received nearly $25,000 in pledge support by over 750 contributors and continues to grow while still having 30 full days left in its live campaign....

Cyberpunk 2077 has been quite a controversial release. One of the most anticipated games of the year is now marred by bad press and middling reviews. Players are experiencing drastically different products depending on where the game was purchased. Once seen as a contender for game of the year, the game is now facing a class-action lawsuit. Not only this, but it has fallen in sales charts at a record pace following the CD Projekt Red debacle....

Cyberpunk 2077 is finally out, and people are really beginning to dig into it. Already Cyberpunk 2077 is the first single-player game to hit one million consecutive Steam players, and its momentum likely won’t slow for some time. As eager as everyone is to get their hands on the game, Cyberpunk 2077 has not launched without problems. The game’s economy is intimidating, with most of the best items heavily price-gated. Players who want the very best will have to raise a boatload of cash....

Cyberpunk 2077 is due for release in December, over 8 years after the games official announcement. The upcoming sci-fi RPG is one of the most hotly anticipated titles of the last decade, and has attracted star power from Keanu Reeves to Grimes to play characters in Night City. Keanu Reeves will be playing Johnny Silverhand, a rockerboy rebel from the original Cyberpunk pen-and-paper RPGs and one of the main recurring characters in the franchise who appears to be returning as some kind of digital ghost....

As one of the first Lords of Cinder that players can find in Dark Souls 3, the Abyss Watchers are a mandatory boss that is required to defeat if the Ashen One wishes to progress. Due to their unique scenario where multiple Watchers spawn, this battle can become quite hectic. There is a lot going on, so focusing on implementing any strategy can be tricky between dodging, blocking, or parrying incoming attacks....

Last week, during the Summer Game Fest showcase, Geoff Keighley was joined by none other than Hideo Kojima, who revealed that Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding will be getting a Director’s Cut with all new content. It now appears that Death Stranding: Director’s Cut has been rated M by the ESRB, for Blood, Intense Violence, Partial Nudity, and Strong Language. If you’ve played the original game, you no doubt already know why it has received a ‘Mature’ rating....

Death Stranding’s latest trailer is now available after several days of teases from Sony and Kojima Productions. The trailer, as strange as those prior, confirms that the PlayStation 4 exclusive will launch on the leaked release date of November 8. At a duration of near nine minutes, the “Release Date Reveal Trailer” is exactly what excited fans were looking forward to. The Death Stranding trailer is filled with oddities in line with expectations, as well as hints at the gameplay that lies deeper within....

In a little over 24 hours Destiny players the world over will jump head first into The Taken King, the first major expansion for Bungie’s hugely successful 2014 release. However, with so much to do when Destiny: The Taken King launches, many might not be sure where to start. There’s obviously a bulk of new story mission to complete, but where exactly fans dedicate their time, and what goals they set their sights on, might differ from player to player....

Bungie announces they are changing how special ammo works in select Crucible modes, with the changes arriving in Destiny’s February Update coming next week. Destiny’s gunplay is designed a rotation of three weapon types: primary, special, and heavy. In PvP, players start with primary ammo for their lighter weapons: hand cannons and assault, pulse, and scout rifles. A limited amount of Special Ammo is given on spawn as well as inside timed boxes on the map for the next tier of weapons: shotguns, snipers, sidearms, and fusion rifles....

Prior to the launch of a new Destiny 2 expansion, players can expect a few things. Bungie usually announces some key changes to existing systems that should make the game better, there are a wealth of trailers to analyze (and over-analyze), and recently there have been some end of season events. But one of the elements that signals that a new Destiny 2 expansion is just days from release is the introduction of a new title screen....

The new Destiny 2: Beyond Light raid is finally out and ready for players to dive into, although the title of World First for Deep Stone Crypt has officially been taken. Fans and viewers watching the competing clans conquer the new raid since yesterday had recently assumed who Deep Stone Crypt’s World First belonged to, and those assumptions have now been officially ratified by Bungie. Dozens of clans raced for the first completion of Destiny 2’s latest raid, with Bungie announcing today through Twitter that the clan Luminous will be holding the title for Deep Stone Crypt....
