This past Thursday, developer Bluepoint Games revealed its next project, a remake of the 2009 PS3 classic, Demon’s Souls, and it looks nothing short of incredible. Demon’s Souls was originally created by From Software, and was the precursor to Dark Souls, which spawned a whole new genre of video games known as “Souls-likes.” But as From Software has moved on to Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and its next title, Elden Ring - it has not gone back to where it all started....

Fans of From Software’s challenging Soul series of games have received a lot of good news lately with a remastered version of the original Dark Souls getting announced and then the PlayStation 4 exclusive Bloodborne is now free for all PlayStation Plus subscribers in March. With the popular and difficult series back in the spotlight, recent speculation has been surrounding the original souls game, Demon’s Souls, and the possibility of a remake for the PlayStation 4....

After all, Destiny excitement seems to have hit a major high this week with the official announcement of The Taken King expansion, so many are likely curious to see if Xur has anything good while they are back around....

When it comes to dishing out tons of damage in Destiny 2, heavy weapons can be just the ticket. The problem is staying stocked up on ammo, which can deplete quickly if the weapon is regularly used. The Heavy Ammo Finder perk is designed to help with this issue, but just how effective is it at supplying consistent ammo? One Guardian sought to find out. For the sake of the Destiny 2 community, Reddit user BoxOfRingsAndNails tested the efficiency of the Heavy Ammo Finder perk by equipping it, killing hundreds of enemies, then recording the results....

The Dawning seasonal event entered its second week and Bungie, sensing the community needed a little bit of a boost to its holiday spirit, decided to intervene with a backend hot fix. This year, the community was tasked with collectively earning a set amount of Dawning Spirit from delivering goods and finishing bounties. However, the requirements appeared to be a bit more steep than originally intended as the player base quickly fell behind and was in danger of not finishing before the event wrapped up....

It was another big reveal week for Destiny 2 and it’s quickly approaching expansion. This time around, Bungie dropped tons of details on all of the next-generations features players can expect when they boot up the game on a Xbox Series X|S or PS5. Details include 60 FPS, cross-gen play, faster load times, and a new Field of View Slider. The PS5 and Xbox Series X also get 4K visuals, while the Series S will stop at 1080p resolution....

A Destiny 2 dataminer has revealed a surprising twist for the end of Season of the Worthy. Alright, we get it–Season of the Worthy hasn’t been that big of a deal for many players. In fact, with all the connection issues and bugs we’ve been seeing, we could argue that it’s been a bit of a step backward. That said, while the beginning of Season of the Worthy hasn’t made a big splash, it looks like the end of the season might be a bit better....

By now, Destiny 2 players have likely heard plenty about how unique and exciting Forsaken’s new Gambit mode is. Billed as competitive PvE with a side of PvP, Gambit is unlike anything seen in Destiny thus far, but it’s easily one of the best additions in the entire franchise. As part of Activision’s E3 2018 presence, Bungie brought a demo of Destiny 2: Forsaken’s Gambit mode and we were able to go hands-on at the event....

Season of the Splicer’s launch was a bit rough, but most of the larger server bugs and crashes have been squashed. However, Bungie isn’t getting too much credit for their good work because players are discovering that the new armor transmog system–called Armor Synthesis–is way more stingy than they thought. Guardians had already been warned in blogs that Armor Synthesis would have a cap per character. Since this is its introductory season, Bungie gave everyone 10 free transmogs per character, but after that players have to grind bounties to unlock more armor ornaments, and each character can only complete 10 bounties per season....

After launching back in September to glowing impressions and reviews, the shine has come off of Destiny 2 a bit. While fans were generally happy to see the inclusion of a stronger story, cutscenes, and new locations to explore, the lack of a meaningful endgame, heavily modified PvP mechanics, and an overreliance on microtransactions have ultimately undermined the strength of the game. It now appears that many of these issues can potentially be linked to a rocky development cycle which included a complete reboot....

Unfortunately for Bungie, bugs and game related issues have been on the rise following the release of Destiny 2: Shadowkeep. Things got so out of whack last season that fans began calling it the Season of Bugs. While Season 10 seems to be in a better state so far, fans have found a number of frustrating issues that are quickly impacting gameplay for many players. The latest issue could have a major impact in Trials and Crucible....

Capcom informed fans about fake invitations for Early Access to Resident Evil Village, which many players appeared to receive. The company warns against phishing attempts and clarifies no such thing is happening officially with the game. It was previously announced that anyone who purchases Resident Evil Village will gain access to Resident Evil Re:Verse, a brand-new multiplayer experience. The project pits popular characters against each other in four to six-player deathmatch battles in iconic locations....

Carrion is a game in which a horrific flesh-blob stalks hardened mercenaries through the dank tunnels of an underground research facility. Fortunately, that monster is the player, and they must crush, spike, shred, and devour enough people to escape their subterranean prison. That’s right, the protagonist of Carrion is a red, amorphous, tentacle monster, and all it wants is its freedom. The scientists and soldiers of the facility have other ideas, however, and will do everything they can to prevent the beast from leaving....

The highly-anticipated PS5 releases today in several parts of the world, while locations like the UK, Europe, and more have to wait until November 19. Many will be traveling to stores in a matter of hours to pick their new console up, many more will be waiting for their PS5 package to arrive, and just as many if not even more will be attempting to find on online today. Walmart will have PS5 pre-orders opening every 3 hours roughly today, starting at midday, so fans may want to get on top of that....

Solos have been added to Call Of Duty: Warzone, but that still doesn’t mean you’re always going to have the benefit of having a full team. Whether it be because you like the challenge of solo vs. squads, you don’t happen to have two other friends (sadface), or because everybody else on your team is dead, sometimes you’re going to have to figure things out on your own. That can be challenging and feel a bit like fighting uphill (especially if your enemies happen to be on a hill), but that doesn’t mean that it’s an impossible task....

Though Superman still tops our list of superheroes we would like to star in their own game, developed by Rocksteady or otherwise, that wish almost became a reality before Factor 5 Studios closed down. This Superman project, which was code named ‘Blue Steel’, was intended to wipe the bad taste of Superman games from gamers’ palettes, and jettison the property into Batman: Arkham Asylum territory. While we can’t say what the final product would have looked like — whether it would have been an open-world title like Arkham City or a more focused effort like Spider-Man: Edge of Time — some concept art for the game has appeared online that shows what some of DC’s iconic characters would have looked like....

The Lab, a UK reseller group, specializing in next-gen consoles, says the bad reputation scalpers have “isn’t justified.” Although the size of the group is unknown, its social media accounts have several thousand followers.
