The Dead by Daylight team recently confirmed that the horror game’s next licensed DLC update will be based on the legendary Hellraiser franchise. While this upcoming update will eventually include multiple assets from the Hellraiser films, the big news at the moment is that Pinhead is finally joining the game’s unbelievable roster of playable killers. In some ways, this update felt inevitable. After all, Dead by Daylight already stars many of the greatest slashers in horror film history (including Freddy Kreuger, Leatherface, Ghostface, and Michael Myers), so it only makes sense that the developers would eventually find a way to add Pinhead to the game and come one step closer to completing their collection of genre icons....

When it was initially revealed that Peter Dinklage was the voice of Ghost in Destiny, fans were enthusiastic. After all, Dinklage’s popularity was at an all-time high thanks to his award-winning work as Tyrion Lannister on Game of Thrones, so it was assumed that he would succeed in his role as a voice actor for Destiny as well. Unfortunately, Peter Dinklage’s performance in Destiny has turned out to be one of the many criticisms lobbed at the game, alongside its heavy grinding and weak storytelling....

One Destiny player discovers the new and more rewarding bounties that will be included in Iron Banner when the event returns for Rise of Iron in the future. Although the launches of Destiny: Rise of Iron and its Wrath of the Machine raid have come and gone, there are still some things to look forward to in Year 3. The fun police are here and they’re taking away your new favorite SMG. Destiny 2 assistant director Joe Blackburn confirmed on Twitter today that the recent buff to Coldfront was unintentional. Blackburn explains that the Dragonfly perk was not intended to work with kinetic weapons and is causing some technical errors. The perk will be removed from the game in an upcoming patch. New Coldfront drops will not roll with the dragonfly perk, and all existing Coldfronts will replace Dragonfly with Swashbuckler....

Updates and hotfixes were the name of the game this week in Destiny 2, as Bungie released the first of a set of patches incoming over the next few weeks. Unfortunately, this week’s update brought an end to the popular 12-player event glitch, letting far bigger groups of players tackle activities like Raids and Nightfalls. In addition, the popular Deep Stone Crypt raid cheese for disabling the Frostbite debuff was also patched, though resourceful fans only needed an hour or two before finding a new way to glitch through the first area of the raid....

Leading up to the announcement of Destiny 2: Beyond Light, the community was starting to feel increasingly uncertain about the future of the franchise. Ever since Bungie split from Activision, it had made great leaps forward with cross-save and New Light but had struggled to keep up the pace on seasonal content due to having fewer resources at hand. This made players even more surprised when the studio doubled-down on Destiny 2 and announced three years worth of content and expansions in the form of Beyond Light, The Witch Queen, and Lightfall, plans for cross-play, and a next-gen upgrade for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X....

Now that Destiny 2’s console release is almost a week away, Activision and Bungie are kicking the marketing campaign for the forthcoming science fiction shooter into overdrive, with the companies having put out several new trailers as of late, as a recent one provided an explanation of the game for newcomers. WWE formally announced last week that it had canceled the SummerSlam live event scheduled to take place in Boston on Aug. 23 and stream live on WWE Network. The show itself isn’t canceled, but Boston mayor Marty Walsh made it clear that events with crowds would not be permitted in his city (smart move) due to COVID-19 so WWE was forced to change course. However, one key element missing in WWE’s announcement was a new venue for SummerSlam....

In the Dark Souls 3 kingdom of Lothric, the Ashen One must confront the twin princes Lothric and Lorian to reach the final area of the game, the Kiln of the First Flame. Though, the king of this expansive land is not quite out of the picture despite no longer having anything to do with the throne. Oceiros, the Consumed King can be found in the aptly named Consumed King’s Garden located not far from the bonfire in the large room at the High Wall of Lothric where the player fought Dancer of the Boreal Valley....

Phoenix Labs has announced that Frost Escalation will come to Dauntless on February 4, with plenty more coming to the game with an updated roadmap. Slayers will need to travel to Linnea Silver’s homeland of Skaldeskar to face off against a new Behemoth in the frigid cold; so bundle up and grab your favorite weapons to slay this new foe! According to Days Gone developer and community manager, David Lee, the team at Sony Bend already has post-launch DLC plans for the upcoming action-adventure survival horror video game. The remake of the iconic From Software game Demon’s Souls is set to debut alongside the PlayStation 5 console on November 12. With Demon’s Souls being one of the most anticipated launch titles for the new system, fans should be pleased to hear that the game has reportedly gone gold.
