Justice League Dark: Apokolips is looking like a pretty big deal, and there’s a good reason for that. It has now been reported that Apokolips will serve as the grand conclusion to the animated shared universe. The Justice League animated universe started up in 2013 with James Tucker’s Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox; Apokolips will be the 15th and final film in the continuity. This run of Justice League animated includes Son of Batman and Justice League Dark....

Heading into Destiny 2: Beyond Light, players are preparing for the new grind as they always do. Even though Bungie has implemented new restrictions for the World First raid race, plenty of D2 players are still hoarding bounties, holding onto exotic quests, and stockpiling materials. But although most of the old tricks should still work in Destiny 2 Year 4, one popular power leveling method is going away. Prior to the launch of Destiny 2’s Beyond Light expansion, Bungie confirmed that it is making a change to the gear awarded from Factions and Destination vendors....

Although Halo Infinite’s delay left the Xbox Series X launch lineup looking a bit worse for wear, it appears that Destiny 2: Beyond Light on Xbox Game Pass has quickly become one of Microsoft’s most enticing next-gen prospects. It was recently revealed that the Xbox Series X is due to launch on November 10, 2020. Microsoft’s smaller, more affordable console, the Xbox Series S, is scheduled to debut the same day....

It’s the last Xur appearance in Destiny 2 before Christmas, which means an opportunity to add to your exotic armor and weapon collection. But will the Agent of the Nine have anything good for sale or will it be coal in our stockings this year? This week, Destiny 2 players can find Xur on Titan in the Rig section. He’s tucked inside a small room in the Eastern portion of the patrol area, so make sure to track him on the map to ensure you don’t miss him....

Remember that loot issue Destiny 2 players have been dealing with? No, not the one caused from the Clan XP Engram bug, the other one, the bug preventing players from collecting Nightfall exclusive rewards. Well, it appears that Bungie has begun working on the issue, but won’t be able to remedy the situation this week. According to the Bungie Help Twitter, the team is currently evaluating a fix for the Nightfall bug....

Although Destiny 2’s Forsaken expansion is still a week away, Bungie wants to set player expectation for the future of its game throughout the entirety of Year 2. As a result, the developer has released its Roadmap for content release, both free add-ons and those tied to the new Annual Pass. Some of the content drop names are being kept secret for now – likely because players have yet to actually experience Destiny 2: Forsaken’s story – but it appears Bungie is going for a cadence that rotates free seasonal updates with paid content additions....

Nintendo may have been thriving with its hybrid console since 2017, but some retro enthusiasts still opt for the classic NES over modern systems. With a new cartridge case from Retro Fighters, nostalgic button-mashers can feel more at home than ever on Switch. The grey, plastic shell has been shrunk down to size, where Switch cartridges can easily slide into where the game sticker would have been. The idea is to make your modern, slim cartridges look like miniature versions of NES ones, which is actually a physical reminder of how our games have evolved with each new generation....

At some point “references” and “Easter eggs” took over franchise movies. They’re expected. The first question out of many a fan’s lips is what are the easter eggs? For some it’s the bar by which a franchise movie is successful or not. How often can this new movie remind you of something old? This doesn’t have to be a bad thing. Although Cliff Bleszinski’s initial announcement that he was starting a new studio called Boss Key Productions may have been spoiled a little earlier than originally planned, the leaked report didn’t mention what type of game the studio was making. There had been rampant speculation about the types of games Bleszinski was interested in making (PC-focused, digital release) but up until now those were only rumors. Today, however, Bleszinski has let it all hang out, confirming that Boss Key Productions is his new studio, which he founded alongside former Guerrilla Games Co-Founder Arjan Brussee, and announcing the studio’s first project....

Remedy Entertainment has built itself a reputation for its strange but endearing storytelling over the last 25 years. Games like Max Payne transitioned into Alan Wake, and then even further ahead with Quantum Break. Each title pushed narrative in games forward ambitiously, whether it was recognized immediately or in retrospect. Remedy’s latest attempt at unique storytelling is Control. Remedy makes interesting efforts in gameplay design to flesh out its SCP-inspired world through iconic characters and moments....

Pearl Abyss just released two lengthy developer commentaries focused entirely on the upcoming Crimson Desert. One of the most shocking revelations in the footage was announced by Seongwoo Lee, Crimson Desert’s producer, who claimed all NPCs in the game will “serve a purpose.” We’re not sure if that’s an exaggeration but – based on the NPC interactivity in Black Desert – they could be completely serious. In Black Desert, Pearl Abyss’ most popular game to date, nearly all NPCs interact with the character in some way....

Ripping off your opponent’s head and urinating down their bleeding throat hole probably wouldn’t be too palatable for today’s audiences. After all, Splatterhouse letting you beat up demon anuses was met with a certain degree of scorn in 2010. So, no, Primal Rage might not go over too well in 2020. But don’t tell that to the fine folks over at NetherRealm, who recently included the game as a fun little easter egg in Mortal Kombat 11....

The Porsche 911 II (930) Turbo from Cyberpunk 2077 looks like a complicated designation on paper and it’s a mouthful to say out loud. But it’s better known as Johnny Silverhand’s car. It’s customized well, with his band name “Samurai” painted on the back and other various unique designs and coloring details to boot. Plus, it’s a sports car, so players that aren’t into Johnny’s story will still appreciate the blend of old-school look with new-tech hardware....

Ah, Naruto. For many of us, this manga/anime was the gateway to the world of Japanese entertainment that we previously didn’t know existed. Naruto is a great story about a world where ninjas are the military. And it focuses on one ninja whose determination to become a leader overcomes even the toughest villain. For all its glaring plot holes and convoluted twists and turns, Naruto is a rather interesting story that teaches us about fighting for what’s right and never giving up....

Although Twitch’s crackdown on partnered streamers started with a recently uncovered string of sexual assault allegations, the streaming giant has also been addressing controversial figures accused of other types of misconduct. According to the latest reports, the widely unpopular Phil “DarkSydePhil” Burnell is the latest streamer that Twitch has removed from its platform. Unlike the other removed streamers, Burnell has no history of sexual assault. However, the divisive YouTuber has a history of making and defending racist jokes while taking criticism personally....
