The thirteenth season in Destiny 2, Season of the Chosen, places Guardians in a war against an army of Cabal. The season’s newest device, the Hammer of Proving, requires charges much like the previous season’s Cryptolith. Instead of charges, however, players are required to farm for a new currency called Cabal Gold. The Hammer of Proving and Cabal Gold are only two of the newest additions to Destiny 2 as a part of Season of the Chosen....

Arguably one of the coolest armor sets in Destiny 2 are the ones that each class starts with at the outset of Destiny 2. It was the armor used in much of the promotional material and early game footage of Destiny 2 including the game’s beta. With the Forsaken expansion release drawing nearer, Bungie has been rolling out updates to Destiny 2 in preparation. Details about a new update which will hit the game this coming Tuesday have recently been released. Bungie revealed on their site that some of Desitny 2’s heroic strike modifiers would be getting a bit of a nerf on July 17th. The ones that are the target of this nerf are Blackout, Glass, and Grounded....

From very early on in Destiny 2, fans have hypothesized that the game utilizes a hidden “Juggler” mechanic, named after the Destiny 1 strike modifier that prevents ammo from dropping for an equipped weapon. Players noticed in Destiny 2 that depending on whether they were using a Kinetic or Energy weapon, the opposite ammo type dropped more frequently (or even exclusively) when getting kills. The theory has been widespread, especially on the Destiny subreddit; however, Bungie has never commented on the issue....

Overwatch has had special rules in China in the past, and a new patch announced by Blizzard will gives Chinese Overwatch players another change. In this case, players will be able able to spend real-world money to directly purchase in-game credits they can then spend on character cosmetics, emotes, and the like. This moves the way Overwatch works in China even further from the rest of the world. Opening a loot box in Overwatch is essentially rolling dice to see what in-game items pop up - it’s like a game of chance....

Collecting gems has always been my favourite part of the Crash Bandicoot trilogy. While I love the nonsensical talisman-feel of the crystals, just completing the level is a bit of a basic goal. Meanwhile, because one slip can ruin an entire time trial, relics are rewarding but deeply frustrating. You can now play a complete cyberpunk overhaul of Half-Life 2, thanks to a particularly talented and hugely dedicated fan who goes by the name of Eyaura. The game is a complete conversion mod of Valve’s 2004 classic, Half-Life 2. It was developed pretty much entirely by Eyaura alone, although they did receive support from publisher LunchHouse Software and Valve itself. And get this, it’s been in development for over 12 years....

Earlier this week, developer CD Projekt RED surprised many by revealing the first Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay demo. Although the footage had previously been shown to members of the press in a behind closed doors meeting, the stream offered the first chance for fans to see the game in action. It offered 48 minutes of gameplay footage, including character creation, city exploration, and more. Fans responded positively to the stream, so positively, in fact, that the game managed to set a new record....

Most Dungeons & Dragons players are familiar with the Chaotic Evil alignment through the villains in their campaigns. The Chaotic Evil alignment includes demon lords, ancient red dragons, and world-ending sorcerers, and many players see all Chaotic Evil-aligned creatures as equally destructive. However, there are many ways to play Chaotic Evil, and being more than a scenery chewing villain can add a lot to the campaign. One thing to keep in mind is that Chaotic Evil is not synonymous with Especially Evil....
