Conan the Barbarian is coming to Netflix…and we don’t mean its movie archive! Rather, the streaming giant is moving forward with a live-action television series adapting the swords, sorcery and loincloths-laden mythos created by Robert E. Howard, famously depicted as comic book art from Barry Windsor-Smith and cemented in history as portrayed onscreen by Arnold Schwarzenegger. Pathfinder Media, of Fredrik Malmberg and Mark Wheeler, have conceived the Conan television project, which has been put into development by Netflix, according to Deadline....

Halo Infinite gives fans the next installment in the two-decade-long series. The sixth major title in the series features free-to-play multiplayer, a more open-world campaign, and a blend of new and classic art design. However, rather than simply leading on from 2015’s Halo 5: Guardians, Infinite shares many more visible connections with Halo Wars 2, the RTS game released in 2017. Creative Assembly’s sequel to the 2009 Xbox 360 game explores the fate of the crew of the UNSC Spirit of Fire....

This Counterpart review contains spoilers. Counterpart Episode 2 Viewers of Counterpart could be forgiven for sharing Howard Silk’s frustration in not being told what’s really going on in the series in these opening episodes, but the truth of the matter is, this show isn’t about to hold anyone’s hand as they get up to speed in the espionage game between parallel worlds. The appreciation is in the small details that are being given out now that the exposition of the premiere, such as it was, is over and done with....

The best thing about huge franchise games is that they’re bound to have fun little treasures galore. Whether it’s a shout out to a sister series by the same developers or a series that the devs or the writers or whoever else are just really big fans of, such references, dubbed Easter Eggs by media consumers, can really add an element of fun to games and encourage exploration beyond whatever storyline your locked into....

Criterion’s second stab at the Need for Speed franchise, Most Wanted, won’t be its last. Following the critical and commercial success of Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, and the relative let-down of EA Black Box’s Need for Speed The Run, comes word that Criterion Games will be in charge of all future Need for Speed titles. Need for Speed Most Wanted, which had been rumored months ago, made its official debut at E3 2012....

Crytek spent a lot of time and effort trying to future proof Crysis Remastered. Most of that effort was spent making the game look as visually stunning as possible (to the point where only the most modern of graphics cards can even hope to play the game at max settings), but no small amount was also spent trying to prevent Crysis from getting hacked. And then Crysis Remastered got hacked anyway....

Piracy is a big problem for PC developers, and while the issue may be overblown at times, there is no denying that it is a prominent part of the PC landscape. Crysis 3 developer Crytek Studios is one of the most recent triple-A studios to feel the sting of online piracy, and are still unsure of how to stop the problem. Crysis 2 was one of 2011’s top pirated games, so it’s no surprise that Crytek is thinking of everything they can to make sure the same doesn’t happen with Crysis 3....

High profile indie game Cuphead wears most of its inspirations on its sleeve, as developer Studio MDHR borrows from 1930s cartoons made by Disney and Warner Brothers. But these cartoons aren’t the only thing that influenced the run-and-gun game as Cuphead also takes inspiration from one of the best-known comic book heroes. In the Cuphead ‘Murine Corps’ level, players have to take on a rat in a can called Werner Werman....

With Cyberpunk 2077 finally out, people are now able to explore the world of Night City. Many of the side missions in Cyberpunk 2077 require the player to learn more about the city’s social structure and the people who inhabit it. One quest called “Happy Together” centers around V’s neighbor Barry and some cops outside his door that are worried about him. Apparently, he has not come out of his apartment in a couple of days....

E3 2019 is here, and while there are plenty of games that will soon be announced, that doesn’t mean the recent torrent of leaks is completely finished. Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most anticipated games of the generation, and while fans got a 45-minute gameplay demo last year, there has been relatively little info released about the game. However, a new leak appears to show off what fans will get with the game’s collector’s edition....

Not a single day of gaming news has gone by without some new tidbit coming out in the wake of the disastrous launch that was Cyberpunk 2077. Normally, describing a video game release as “disastrous” would be sensationalism, but it really has rung true for CD Projekt Red’s latest RPG. All versions of the game shipped with various bugs and glitches, ranging from humorous annoyance to game-breaking issue. The game was even de-listed entirely from PlayStation’s store, alongside extending its often stringent refund policy....

Cyberpunk 2077 is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated games of 2020, with pre-release materials building up hype for quite some time now. But even with only weeks left until Cyberpunk’s December 10 release date, developer CD Projekt Red continues to reveal new information about the game. One of the best parts about Fire Emblem: Three Houses is the depth of the characters. Each character has a distinct personality with an extensive back story. Though other Fire Emblem games have done well with plot and character relationships, this one stands out as superior for player-character connection and relatability. Combining this with the fact that Fire Emblem is a strategy game that relies on the use of a grid within the fantasy genre, it seemed appropriate to analyze where some of these characters would fall on the D&D moral alignment system....

As you may recall, The X-Files was sneakily stowed away into Fox’s proverbial classified government facility, put away indefinitely after the 2018 revival season concluded controversially. While this fate was essentially sealed by the subsequent exit of co-star Gillian Anderson, the other half of the franchise’s iconic duo, David Duchovny, is making it clear that he’d return to the series. Plans for another season of the series have yet to manifest, but in an interview for Danish film site kino....

PS4 Gamers thought Sony’s eight generation console had finally answered their prayers for a high-quality offering in the zombie genre with Days Gone (especially as The Last of Us – Part II’s status remains uncertain), but these people were mainly disappointed when the game turned out to be average at best. A lot of issues stop Days Gone from being used in the same lines as groundbreaking zombie games such as Resident Evil 4, The Last of Us, and The Walking Dead, although the game does get a few things right....

The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombie reveal answered tons of fan questions, finally providing details as to what to expect in next year’s game. After the round of Black Ops Cold War teaser and first look videos passed, Treyarch tweeted an interesting last detail that fans were not expecting. While the Call of Duty Zombie game mode has been a classic experience for several title generations, one distinct version of Zombies still stands out in the series....

Fans of Hideo Kojima and anyone hoping for details on his studio’s highly-anticipated project, Death Stranding, may want to brace themselves for disappointment. Despite hopes and expectations leading up to Tokyo Game Show 2018, Kojima Productions has confirmed that Death Stranding will not be playable at the event. Considering the project was announced over two years ago, the announcement that it would appear at TGS 2018 naturally led to speculation that a playable demo would be available alongside the presentation....
