Xur has once again returned to Destiny 2 to offer players exotic armor and an exotic weapon. Not a lot has been going on in the game – outside of the Faction Rally event – but we are on the cusp of new information. Starting next week, Bungie will unveil pieces of the Curse of Osiris DLC in a series of livestreams.

While the first two livestreams will focus on the new content coming to Destiny 2, the last will highlight the new gear that players can collect. Presumably, some of the new gear reveals will include new exotic weapons and armor, which Xur could sell following the DLC’s launch in December. But for now it’s a lot of familiar items.

This week, Destiny 2 players can find Xur on Nessus in the Watcher’s Grave region. Most will recognize this hiding spot for its frequent use, but those that have never found Xur on Nessus should look to the trees. Or just target him on the map.

Xur’s exotic armor selection this week includes the Foetracer helmet for Hunters, the Insurmountable Skullfort helmet for Titans, and the Eye of Another World helmet for Warlocks. All three helmets are top tier exotics for their respective classes and are easy recommendations for PvE or PvP players.

The Hunter helmet works wonders in PvP by tracking players once they have been seen. On top of that, the helmet increases damage to tracked enemies as their health lowers. So if you’re pursuing a target in The Crucible, chances are you will be able to defeat them quickly.

An Insurmountable Skullfort is a returning exotic from Destiny 1, but in Destiny 2 it’s easily one of the best Titan exotics. Because the helmet recharges melee energy on a kill, and shoulder charge can one-shot most PvE enemies, it turns any Titan into a melee machine.

The Warlock’s Eye of Another World is great for target acquisition in PvP since it highlights enemies, and it’s an all-around useful exotic because it speeds up the recharge rate on all abilities. Unlike the other two helmets, this one isn’t as high on the list of must-use exotics, but it is still a fun one.

The Prospector grenade launcher is the exotic weapon for this week, and there really isn’t much more to say than that. While the exotic armor is worth buying, Xur’s exotic weapon is hardly a top tier choice. Grenade launchers are a good idea in concept, but they pale in comparison to most Power Weapons. The Prospector can fire fast, which is a plus, but it doesn’t pack enough punch to be worth using regularly.
