For Season of the Drifter, Destiny 2 has introduced a new vanguard pinnacle weapon in the form of the Oxygen SR3 Scout Rifle. It seems people are split on the effectiveness of the rifle, but it’s worth mentioning that it is an Energy Solar 180 RPM weapon. As a pinnacle weapon, it is technically designed to be worked on throughout the season, as it requires 75 strikes, precision kills, and orbs of light. Follow this guide, though, and players can unlock this pinnacle weapon in approximately 5 hours.
To complete the 75 strikes, running Nightfalls is the best method, as they give 5.5% of the 75 strike total. Players can 3-man Strange Terrain – the quickest Nightfall Strike in Destiny 2 – with an arc heavyweight with a Wardcliff Coil to complete it in 5-6 minutes. This method should see players complete the first requirement of the Oxygen SR3 pinnacle weapon in approximately 2 hours.
This method can be rinsed and repeated until unlocking the necessary 500 orbs and 1K precision kills. While it sounds like this will eat a lot of time, most Destiny 2 players should be able to finish this method quickly enough, and earn themselves a season Pinnacle weapon.
