Grunt Birthday Party is perhaps one of the most ridiculous Easter Eggs in the history of gaming, and now it has made its way to Destiny 2. Thanks to the Wall of Wishes in the Last Wish raid, players can cast wishes to alter the raid in different ways, and one of them recreates the infamous Halo Easter Egg within the Last Wish raid. Here is how players can activate Grunt Birthday Party to add a little flair to the Last Wish raid.

The first thing Destiny 2 players need to do is load into Last Wish and head to the Wall of Wishes. To get to the Wall of Wishes, players will want to head toward the first encounter but do not go in. Instead, head over to the left of the doorway toward the water and jump up on a ledge with a glowing blue plant. Players will want to follow a series of ledges and glowing plants until they are in front of the Wall of Wishes. Once there, players should shoot the plates on the wall until they have the combination below, and then step on the floorplate to cast the wish.

Once the wish is activated, any precision kill will cause the enemy to erupt into a shower of confetti and play a slide whistle sound effect. While this has no impact on the raid itself, it definitely lightens the mood of an otherwise serious and challenging raid. The effect lasts until players return to orbit, so fireteams can fight Riven with confetti everywhere if they really want to. Encounters with a large number of enemies, like The Vault, will surely be wild with this Easter Egg active.

This is one of the fifteen wishes in Destiny 2’s big raid currently. While not all have been discovered, some of the wishes currently found can teleport players to specific encounters, give flower crowns to the raid team, or even award emblems to those who input the right combination. It seems that the design team had some fun with a few of these wishes, like the one that plays Paul McCartney’s “Hope For the Future” when entered. Hopefully, more fun wishes will be uncovered soon.

Destiny 2: Forsaken is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
