Here’s how to do the Keep of Honed Edges Ascendant Challenge this week in Destiny 2.

If, like me, you’re trying to burn down a bunch of triumphs and earn a few titles before the end of the season, you’re likely focusing a bit of your time on Destiny 2’s Dreaming City. Each week brings a new Ascendant Challenge that can provide you with weapons, armor, mods, and more, all of which can contribute to unlocking those triumphs and titles.

This week’s ascendant challenge is Keep of Honed Edges, which is a relatively simple challenge to beat. The true challenge is getting the two Corrupted Eggs and the Ahamkara Bones. Let’s go over the challenge itself and where you can grab two more item drops and some lore.

Keep of Honed Edges Ascendant Challenge

Before we begin, you’re going to need some Tincture of Queensfoil. If you’ve done some activities in the Dreaming City then you probably already have at least one, but otherwise, you’ll have to find one first.

To start the challenge, head to Harbinger’s Seclude in the northeast corner of the map. Go inside the big castle-like structure and head to the very end where you’ll be greeted with a big statue. Stop on the bridge heading towards that statue and look to your right. Now activate your Tincture of Queensfoil to become Ascendant. You should see an Ascendant platform right in front of you–the first of many that will lead you upwards towards the Ascendant Realm portal that sits just atop the big statue.

Once inside, head to the large lit structure you can see in the distance. The challenge itself is to kill all the Hive to unlock the Relic sword, and then use the Relic Sword to kill the previously invulnerable Hive Knights. Once the Knights are dead, Toland will appear and then lead you to the exit that will be randomly placed on one of the floating islands that surround the main structure. Bring the Relic Sword to the exit to complete the challenge and unlock the chest.

Ahamkara Bones Location

The real challenge starts here. The bones (and associated lore) are actually down the central column that supports the main structure of this challenge. To find it, you’ll have to look around the side until you’re looking beneath a stairway that leads to one of the floating gazebos that surround the main structure. Below, you’ll see the sparkling bones but no platform to land on.

This is a bit of a leap of faith. There’s an invisible platform that will appear so long as you’re still Ascendant from your Tincture of Queensfoil. Just drop down to the right of those sparkly bones in order to land on the hidden platform. To get back up the column you’ll need to make a few more leaps of faith counter-clockwise to the column to ascend the platforms back up to the main structure.

Corrupted Egg One

Both Corrupted Eggs are hidden inside mountainous floating islands that appear in between the paths that lead to Toland and the final Ascendant Challenge chest. But we can sort of cheat at the first one by jumping on top of one of the gazebos. You’ll be able to see a glow in the distance on the mountain where the egg is, and by heading to the edge of the gazebo, you should be able to strike it with Wish-Ender and get your first item drop.

If that doesn’t work, there are a few more strategies you can employ in the video here.

Corrupted Egg Two

This one is a little trickier as there’s no way to shoot the egg from a distance. You have to fly to the mountain using the Relic Sword that you grabbed from earlier.

First, find a floating rock with a hole in it (described as “donut rock” in the video below) to get yourself oriented. To the left of the rock facing outwards from the main structure is yet another floating gazebo, but this one doesn’t have a roof. From that gazebo, you should be able to see a floating mountain in the distance. That’s your target.

Jump towards it as far as you can while holding your Relic Sword. At the height of your jump, start spamming quick attacks with the sword so that it keeps pushing you forward. This will allow you to jump the vast distance between the gazebo and the mountain.

Once you’ve found a ledge to jump onto, ascend the mountain until you’re near the top. Hidden in an alcove is the egg, which should be an easy shot with Wish-Ender. Now all you need to do is use that same sword to jump your way to the exit. Watch out for snipers and all those floating rocks!
