The PC port of Death Stranding has been delayed by a month, due to the COVID-19 crisis and Japan’s state of national emergency.
Death Stranding is one of the strangest games on the PlayStation 4, yet it won a number of awards and received mostly positive reviews. The game only has timed exclusivity for PlayStation 4 and the existence of a PC port was leaked throughout the game’s development. The PC version of Death Stranding is set to launch with exclusive content, including a hat based on the headcrabs from the Half-Life series.
It seems that PC gamers will have to wait a little longer than they thought to play as a headcrab-wearing Norman Reedus. According to a post on the 505 Games Twitter page, Death Stranding has been pushed from its June 2 release date to July 17. The reason for this is due to the production being delayed, as the lockdown in Japan is forcing people to work remotely. The six-week delay isn’t that long and it’s better than the lack of a release date that fans of The Last of Us Part II are enduring at the moment, and the reasons are more than understandable.
Death Stranding will now be released for PC on July 17, 2020.
