All-Kill, the K-pop infused Chapter for Dead By Daylight, will release on all platforms on March 30. This includes the addition of a new survivor and a new killer, both with their new skills, traits, and of course, looks.
As for now there is no new map in the works, according to the studio, but the tweet also stated that the developers are “not ruling out an All-Kill themed map for the future.”
The game’s official account shared the news today via a new teaser showcasing the promo art for All-Kill, along with the release date. The teaser on a K-pop themed Chapter began in late February with a series of tweets, until it was officially announced on March 2 that Dead by Daylight would collaborate with K-pop singer Kevin Woo (U-Kiss) and DJ Swivel, a producer who’s worked with the band BTS.
If you happened to miss the gameplay trailer, you can watch it below to get a feel of the Trickster’s abilities, including throwable knives and a massive blunt weapon:
There is much to be disclosed and discovered about this new killer in Dead by Daylight, but a couple content creators have been showing snippets of its abilities. Twitch streamer Morf showcased his frightening and stylish Mori in early March, We also got to see the character’s bio, which reads: “A ranged Killer, able to quickly unleash a flurry of blades by using his power, Showstopper. His personal perks, Startruck, Hex: Crowd Control, and No Way Out, allow him to quickly down would-be rescuers and block areas of the environment to his advantage.”
The Trickster quickly became a social media sensation. On the same day of the announcement, the community started obsessing over a clip of the killer turning around and winking at the player. The studio took notice the next day and shared a version of it without UI.
If you’re curious about the backstory of this enigmatic character, as well as the new survivor Yu-Jin Lee, there is a lore page for both. From the looks of it, a lot of work was put into creating a compelling universe on their backs that would also mix well enough with Dead by Daylight’s universe. Players will only have to wait a couple days to get all in into All-Kill themselves.
