With DC FanDome right around the corner, rumors are flying about what surprises are in store for fans. Similar to this year’s Comic-Con@Home, the 24-hour virtual convention hosted by DC will showcase all of their upcoming film, television, and gaming projects with a slew of guests ready to get fans pumped. The full schedule for the event boasts panels on upcoming movies like James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad and the Robert Pattinson-led The Batman. However, it is the gaming titles that are anticipated from the event that are really getting fans excited. Here is what we are hoping DC has in store.

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League

Rocksteady recently confirmed everyone’s suspicions by announcing Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League as its next title. The ragtag group of villains known as The Suicide Squad have long been rumored to make their gaming debut and even hinted at in previous Arkham titles like Batman Arkham Origins. So far, all we have on the title is a great teaser poster that seemingly puts Superman into the group’s crosshairs. Coming from Rocksteady, this is sure to be a great addition to the DC gaming library.

Batman Arkham

Speaking of Rocksteady, with its hands full with Suicide Squad, it has been rumored that WB Montreal’s next title will be an entry into the Batman Arkham series. Having previously worked on Arkham Origins, it makes sense for the company to take the reins on this franchise. Though no official announcement has been made, there are plenty of rumors and hints floating about that points to a new Batman game soon and one possibly concerning a certain Court of Owls. Here’s hoping that the event gives us more than rumors and speculation.

Injustice 3

Rumors of a third entry into the Injustice franchise have been making the rounds lately. This is most likely due to the fact that DC announced Ed Boon, head of NetherRealm, as part of its FanDome lineup. While his presence is likely part of a Mortal Kombat related announcement, it’s not too far out of the realm of possibility for him to officially announce the third Injustice game. In fact, it would fit perfectly into the DC event, especially considering that NetherRealm likes to alternate their titles and Mortal Kombat 11 was its most recent release.

Another DC Hero?

It could be possible that DC surprises everyone with the reveal of a game focused on another hero. Perhaps a Superman title to tie into the upcoming Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League. After all, the only promo for the game is focused on the flying Krypton. Or maybe DC will really shock fans and showcase a title based on something crazy like the Doom Patrol or Mister Mxyzptlk.

Film Updates

Of course, the bulk of this 24-hour event seems to be comprised of film news. This makes sense as DC has been putting a lot of effort into expanding its DCEU. While most of the panels are on previously announced titles, there are a few slots that could focus on new films that haven’t been announced or expanded upon. Let’s hope that we get more news about titles like Ava Duvernay’s The New Gods and are treated to surprise announcements like a possible live-action Batgirl film or another Birds of Prey film.
