In Days Gone, the state of Oregon (like most of the wider world) has been ravaged by a global pandemic, but there are still vestiges of the serene wilderness that once made it a tourist destination. One of the better-known attractions is Crater Lake, which has been faithfully recreated within the game — complete with the Crater Lake Visitors’ Centre.

Located at the heart of the Crater Lake National Park, the center was once a place where people could learn about the lake and its surrounding region. But during the two years since the outbreak of the Freaker virus, it has grown to become yet another reminder of a bygone era, a decrepit shell of its former self. And almost as though to honor the real-world Crater Lake, the game’s developers have included some lifelike postcards for players to find and collect within the game. Here’s all you need to know about them.

What Are The Crater Lake Postcards?

The Crater Lake Postcards are one of several Tourism collectibles that can be found in Days Gone. It is a collection of postcards that once served as promotional material showcasing the beauty of Crater Lake. They contain serene photos showing the wildlife and tourist activities that can be found in the region, as well as messages such as “Come Fishing at Crater Lake!” and “Greetings from Wizard Island.”

Where To Find Them?

The postcards can be found at the Crater Lake Visitors’ Centre. There is a restaurant on the left wing of the main building. Once inside, it should be easy to spot them on the table. Picking them up indicates that this is collectible #16, and the in-game description for the item reads, “A collection of postcards found at the Crater Lake Visitors’ Centre.”

What Other Collectibles Should I Look Out For?

Aside from the Crater Lake Postcards, players can also pick up an informational flyer, the second of the two available Tourism collectibles in the area. This can be located on the right wing of the main building. The title of the poster reads, “Preserving the beauty of Crater Lake.”

Lastly, there is a Historical Marker just outside the main building. While this is technically not a Tourism collectible, it would still need to be picked up if the player hopes to attain a 100% collectible completion rating for the region, so it is also worth grabbing while they are there.
