In Days Gone, Deacon will find Infestation Nests scattered around Oregon as he explores. You can clear these nests to earn XP, Trust, and unlock more fast travel routes for Deacon to use. In the southern area of Lost Lake, Deacon will note that there are nests in the Berley Lake region. Here’s everything you need to know to clear the nests in Berley Lake.

Berley Lake Infestation Nest Locations

There are four nests around Berley Lake. They are spread far apart, so use your bike to travel between them. Make sure you know how to preserve petrol so you don’t run out.

Berley Lake Nest #1

The first nest at Berley Lake is at the entrance to a tunnel inside the abandoned NERO research site. Clear the NERO camp and then destroy the nest.

Berley Lake Nest #2

The second nest in this area is just down the path from the NERO site. There is a white truck on the road. Look inside to find the nest.

Berley Lake Nest #3

On a ridge near the second nest, there is a cave. To find this ridge, look to the side of the road. It is hard to miss, as there are bodies all over the ledge. The entrance to the cave is covered by another infestation nest.

Berley Lake Nest #4

The final infestation in Berley Lake is further down the same path. As you go along, you will see a shack to the side of the road. The nest is in this building.

Berley Lake Survival Tips

Berley Lake is home to a large horde, so it is best to clear these infestations in the day whilst the horde sleeps. Regardless, it is best to bring plenty of ammo and explosives in case the horde finds you.

If you are running low on supplies, the abandoned NERO checkpoint near the tunnel has plenty. You will be able to find kerosene, rags, beer bottles, and medical supplies to help you destroy nests. These supplies will let you make more Molotovs if you run out.

You can enter the NERO shelter here. But, as usual, you must first power it up. To do this, there is a fuel can propped up at the entrance to the tunnel. Take this around the fence and climb up a ridge to find the generator.

Then, you must find a missing fuse. You will find this in the tunnel where you originally found the first nest. Once you’ve destroyed the nest, you can go inside and pick up the fuse. Use this to power the shelter, but be aware that the alarms will sound. It’s very likely that this noise will attract the horde.
