The game Days Gone was released in early 2019 and received mixed reviews due to some technical issues that plagued the game at launch. However, if you return to the game today, you’ll find a game worthy of your time. It offers a rather lengthy story and some unique variations of zombies that haven’t been seen before.
That’s not to say that the game doesn’t have it’s fair share of issues still. There are some aspects of the game that are sure to make you laugh. Fans of Days Gone can appreciate these great memes that showcase some of the unique qualities of the game.
10 I’m In Danger
We’ve all been there; you’re running low on gas for your bike and you stop somewhere to find some but you wander off a little far. Next thing you know, you’re caught off guard by a monstrous swarm of freakers heading your way.
It truly is a terrifying moment as you can’t just outrun them and your bike is miles away. Your only choice is to fend them off for as long as you can and hope you somehow manage to escape alive. Next time, don’t wander off too far.
9 Must Have It
Video game collectors love the amazing items that come in the collectors editions of their favorite games. It’s the best way to showcase your love for a particular franchise or game.
The Days Gonecollector’s edition is simply a must own for any collector who loves the game. It contains a statue of Deacon by his bike, a book of the artwork from the game, and so much more in addition to the game itself. What’s not to love about this?
8 Well This Is Awkward
It happens, you’re sitting there staring at the screen waiting to jump right into Days Gone to forget about life’s stresses for a while. You’re sitting there for what seems like forever and the game isn’t doing anything. Maybe it’s glitched? Maybe you’ll try to restart the console and try again.
It does the same thing again and that’s when you finally realize there was a small and subtle text at the bottom telling you to press any button to continue. That can be a pretty awkward moment if you were blaming it on the game this whole time.
7 What Did You Say?
Days Gone got delayed for quite a while and needless to say, not everyone was happy about that. Games don’t get delayed for no reason; maybe they had to work out a few kinks to make it playable for launch.
This didn’t matter to some as they decided to cancel preorders regardless, as if canceling would make the developers see what they’ve done and decide to release earlier in order to keep those preorders. Those canceled preorders are only hurting you as you’re missing out on a fantastic game.
6 Now I’m Impressed
Deacon is a proud individual; he takes pride in what he has, especially when it comes to his bike. After all, it is pretty sweet. The player can of course customize the bike to their liking, but regardless of the design, Deacon will gladly show off that bike as he rides around town.
You can’t forget to mention that you have the ability to fast travel from your bike. Now that’s something to gloat about.
5 Can We Trade?
Sony fans already know how spectacular the list of exclusives is; featuring the likes of not only Days Gone, but Uncharted and The Last of Us. When you think of the competition, you don’t think of anything that stands out quite like these games.
Fans of Days Gone and these other games wouldn’t dare trade them for any of the competitors games because they’re just too good to give up. The best exclusives remain on Playstation, and Days Gone is one of them.
4 Your Specs Don’t Impress Me
Oh, you can play this multiplatform game at a slightly higher resolution and experience less frame drops? That’s all well and good but what games do you have that stand out enough to persuade someone to purchase the PC?
Specs are essentially just numbers if you don’t have the games to back it up. A platform needs exclusive games that make it stand out amongst the competition, otherwise you’ll just be comparing numbers that have minor differences.
3 I’m A Pro Zombie Slayer
Days Gone does a fine job at making you feel like a pro zombie slayer. Taking down a terrifying horde of freakers by yourself is extremely satisfying if you can pull it off. Afterwards you feel like nothing can stop you.
It makes you feel like if the apocalypse started tomorrow, you’d be ready. You can use those skills you learned in Days Gone to lead the world into a better place.
2 Do You Mind?
To reiterate, Days Gone isn’t a perfect game by any sense of the word. There are a plethora of glitches in the game, even today. But as with any game, you can’t expect it to be completely bug free.
However, you can expect to get a good laugh out of these whenever you stumble across them. Glitchy character models always make for the best laughs in any situation. They give the game a unique personality.
1 Smile And Wave Boys
Deacon isn’t always a happy-go-lucky kind of guy. In fact, it’s rare to see him smiling all that much. Don’t let this detract from the happiness presented in this meme above. Deacon is enthusiastically being mauled by a bear and we should appreciate how he’s handling it so positively.
We need more positivity in the world today. Just look at him. He isn’t worried or angry, just happy to be alive, momentarily anyways.
