The Dark Souls fans who want to pretend that they’re not making any noise when they’re forward-rolling around their apartment will soon be able to order a piece of jewelry that will facilitate this fantasy, as a replica of the Slumbering Dragoncrest Ring is being made in Japan and will receive an international release in August.

One of the most useful items in Dark Souls and Dark Souls Remastered is the Slumbering Dragoncrest Ring, which stops the user from making any sounds. The ring can be found in Sen’s Fortress and it’s one of the most prized possessions of PvP players, as it makes it easier to sneak up on unwary players. This effect can be replicated by casting the Hush spell, but most players would rather have a permanent silence effect than needing to rely on a resource that can’t always be depended upon.

A company in Japan called Torch Torch is releasing a replica of the Slumbering Dragoncrest Ring. According to Famitsu (via Siliconera), the ring will cost 19,250 yen, which is around $175/£148. The rings will be sold in Japan, but it will be possible to have them shipped to different countries. The rings are available for pre-order now on the Torch Torch website.

The Dark Souls series (as well as the other FromSoftware titles) have lots of jewelry that the player can find and equip. The FromSoftware jewelry has been replicated as real-life merchandise on a number of occasions and fans have lined up to buy wearable Dark Souls rings and pendants. Torch Torch has produced a lot of this merchandise in the past, such as Cloranthy Ring from Dark Souls and the various Hunter Badges from Bloodborne.

FromSoftware fans around the world are eagerly awaiting more information about Elden Ring, which promises to be the next incarnation of the company’s signature style. We can only wonder if the name is meant to be taken literally and fans will be able to purchase their own Elden Ring years down the line.
