Surviving a fight with a Dark Souls 3 boss isn’t easy, but one gamer decides an impromptu boxing match with the game’s first boss is all it will take to put the monster down.
For those gamers unfamiliar with the Dark Souls series, From Software’s action-RPGs have made their name on containing some of the genre’s most difficult fights - and that’s just while dealing with the usual assortment of demons and possessed knights a character will run into organically as they progress from zone to zone. While Dark Souls 3 will certainly be a continuation of that philosophy, there’s one thing seasoned veterans know heading into the newest iteration of the often punishing franchise, which is that the real battles begin when the music becomes a bit more epic and a boss is staring down their tiny, helpless warrior.
For some, however, even the incredibly taxing boss fights that characterize games like Dark Souls 3 isn’t enough. In the video below, an enterprising Dark Souls 3 player named BR34K is shown beating down the game’s first boss, Iudex Gundyr. Oddly enough, however, BR34K victimizes and ultimately defeats Gundyr with liberal dodges, the occasional potion, and just his fists.
