Danganronpa creator Kazutaka Kodaka has announced that his new game, Death Come True, will be released worldwide.

Death Come True is an interactive movie game, about as far away as you can get from whatever genre Danganronpa is in. However, as the game centers around an amnesiac protagonist accused of murder, Kodaka’s brand is still going strong.

The game is set in a hotel, where the amnesiac Makoto Karaki wakes up in his room and finds out that he’s been accused of multiple murders. This being a Kodaka game, Makoto and the other hotel residents are in mortal danger and must band together to avoid being killed. But here’s the catch: when Makoto dies, he gets to go back in time. With this quirk of fate and the player’s choices throughout the game, Makoto slowly rediscovers his past, and the events that transpired before the game began.

Death Come True is slated for a June release in Japan, and Kodaka’s tweeted that it will receive a worldwide release. However, his tweet was unclear as to whether the worldwide release would occur alongside the Japan launch. The game will be subtitled in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish and Latin American Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Thai, and Vietnamese.

Death Come True will be available on most platforms, including the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PC, and both Android and Apple devices.
