The embargo just lifted on Cyberpunk 2077 reviews today, and we’re beginning to see a consensus on thoughts from folks around the industry. So far, it sounds like CD Projekt’s latest title is quite well received, with a few consistent criticisms and largely positive scores. For those looking to buy it, you can pick up a copy this week on December 10.

Cyberpunk 2077 has experienced a tumultuous journey into launch with multiple delays, but the long-anticipated title is finally upon us. Set in the lawless Night City, Cyberpunk 2077 drops you into the first-person perspective of V, a customizable mercenary savvy in the art of hacking.

Gang violence and powerful corporations dominate Night City, leaving its citizens to rely on advanced robotics and an open-carry policy on firearms to survive. It’s a grim future, but Cyberpunk provides you an opportunity to change that in a world of strangely dystopian, ethereal beauty and grungy sci-fi wastelands. If you remember that far back, Cyberpunk 2077 was first announced in May 2012, and its first teaser trailer followed up in 2013. It’s been eight long years, but we’re finally here.

Check out TheGamer review for our thoughts on CD Projekt’s long-awaited adventure. We gave it a 5/5 and called it “astoundingly pretty, full of reflective surfaces and ray-traced lighting - the first true next-gen experience”. The adventure was incredible, with plenty of diversity in ways to play and a satisfying pace you can always set for yourself.
