CD Projekt Red has revealed Cyberpunk 2077‘s PC system requirements as part of the latest Night City Wire presentation (which also featured two new trailers for the upcoming RPG).

Let’s get right to it. Here are the minimum and recommended PC system requirements for Cyberpunk 2077:

Minimum:

OS: Windows 7 or 10, 64-bitProcessor: Intel Core i5-3570K or AMD FX-8310Memory: 8GB RAMGraphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 3GB or AMD Radeon RX 470DirectX: Version 12Storage: 70 GB HDD, SSD recommended

Recommended:

OS: Windows 10, 64-bitProcessor: Intel Core i7-4790 or AMD Ryzen 3 3200GMemory: 12GB RAMGraphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB or AMD Radeon R9 FuryDirectX: Version 12Storage: 70 GB SSD

To be honest, those requirements are pretty low. There’s definitely a barrier for entry if you haven’t upgraded your gaming PC in a little while, but these requirements really speak to CD Projekt Red’s mastery of the PC platform and well they tend to optimize even their largest games. Of course, the final product may prove to be even more demanding than these initial requirements suggest it will be. Just about any PC gamer can tell you of a time they found themselves frustratingly unprepared to properly run a game despite the fact the title’s requirements suggested they would be able to do so.

The minimum and recommended storage requirements are both interesting. We recently talked about how World of Warcraft: Shadowlands will seemingly require players to use an SSD, but Cyberpunk only recommends one. We imagine that an SSD will end up being a “soft” requirement, but at least the game’s 70 GB install size is relatively manageable for a modern AAA game of this size.

The RAM requirements are also noteworthy. PC gaming has quickly been moving towards “you should really have 16GB of RAM” territory, and these requirements really reinforce the idea that more RAM is better. At least RAM and SSD prices are dropping all of the time. If you’re looking for either, we’ve got some RAM and SSD recommendations we’d be more than happy to share (shameless self-promo).

Interestingly, these specs also confirm that Cyberpunk 2077 should run well on current-gen consoles but really shine on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
