Walking around Night City in Cyberpunk 2077 is quite the experience. There are references, secrets, and hidden areas around every corner just waiting for the player to explore them. And with added verticality, unlocking cyberware that allows you to jump higher is almost a must in order to access exclusive hidden areas high up off the street level.
However, you don’t need to go far to witness cool details and references. Just staying in V’s apartment every once in a while will show just how much attention to detail was put into the game. From cool memorabilia to gaming references, V seems to have a knack for collecting cool side quest items as apartment decoration. Here’s what secrets might be in your V’s apartment right now, which you probably missed.
10 Scorpion Statue
Fans of the Mortal Kombat franchise will certainly recognize this familiar statue which is bound to pop up in V’s apartment after a specific quest with the Aldecaldos. After taking part in Scorpion’s funeral, this statue of the same name, exactly like the Mortal Kombat character, will appear in V’s apartment.
In order to get this piece of memorabilia, make sure to complete the quest I’ll Fly Away, which is part of the Panam Palmer side quests and Aldecaldo quest lines.
9 Dreamcatcher
There’s only one mystical character that could be associated to this dreamcatcher that will mysteriously appear on the wall by V’s bed in their apartment. Misty will actually offer to help you decipher some of the tarot card graffiti that you discover around Night City. Each card holds a special meaning.
In order to get the final reward for the quest which is this dreamcatcher, make sure to find all the tarot cards scattered around. You’ll be traveling quite a bit, so doing this in conjuncture with other quests is ideal. Always check if your quest location has a tarot graffiti nearby.
8 Zen Master’s Altar
Night City is a busy place, but V can take some time off and relax by finding the mysterious Zen master in various locations around the map. There’s approximately four different meditations you can complete with him, which will simply involve you watching a braindance of a natural environment in exchange for some money.
At the end of it, the Zen master gifts you with the Zen master’s altar, an object which will be attached to V’s shelf at the foot of their bed.
7 VR Game
The friendship (or romance) between V and River Ward might seen contradictory, but it amounts to something truly pure and beautiful. After assisting River during the quest The Hunt by helping him find his missing nephew Randy, River will invite you over for dinner. You also get to play a fun VR game during this sequence.
After completing the quest Following the River, you might notice a very familiar set of VR gaming equipment sitting on V’s table in their apartment. Too bad you don’t get to replay it after.
6 Diving Suit
It might not be everyone’s first thought to go underwater in Night City, but a very unique side quest with Judy Alvarez will bring you to a sunken city within the dam nearby. To reach this quest, you need to have pretty high affinity with her already, as you’ll have a chance to romance her during the scenario.
After you’ve completed the quest Pyramid Song, returning to your apartment will reveal a bunch of diving equipment inside a cardboard box by your door. This is without a doubt the very same diving suit you wore to impress Judy.
5 Lizzy Wizzy Poster
Grimes’ character, Lizzy Wizzy, is among the high and mighty of Night City’s elite. A musician and performer, her body is coated with reflective chrome, making her quite the unique character. V actually receives an anonymous message from her, asking them to come and see her for a gig at the No-Tell Motel.
Once you’ve completed her quest Violence, Lizzy Wizzy will gift you with a special poster of herself which will appear in V’s apartment.
4 Peralez Campaign Poster
Mayoral politics will often be advertised on TV around Night City. With the death of Lucius Rhyne, elections are underway and one of the candidates is Jefferson Peralez, who is praised as a more independent candidate. V will get to meet him and his wife during a bizarre and dark quest that reveals they might be watched and even mind controlled.
After helping the Peralez family with their strange stalkers, an election advertisement poster can be found inside V’s apartment, with Jefferson’s face on it.
3 V’s Sleeping Position
Memorabilia and easter eggs aside, one thing that has remained hidden but which has been brought up multiple times by people is the way V sleeps on their bed. The position seems wildly uncomfortable, as they seem to lie down sideways, rather than placing their head on a pillow. However, you could never know for sure, until a mod came along to change that.
With a special mod, players were able to actually spectate V from third person and see what kind of cursed sleeping position they would adopt. Needless to say, it looks like V would have terrible leg pain after even an hour of sleep.
2 Lifepath Items
While most hidden items and additions in V’s apartment come from side quests which are completed, some of them are more related to the first choice you ever make in the game: your lifepath. Next to your computer terminal, there’s a crystal glass and behind it some space which will get filled by one of three special items.
For corpos, you’ll get an Arasaka company clock. For nomads, you’ll receive a car model, and for street kids, it’ll be a diorama of Night City. You’ll receive the item once you’ve finished your respective lifepath introductory quest.
1 Nibbles The Cat
For any animal lovers, there’s good news: V can in fact adopt a cat called Nibbles off the streets of Night City. This big eyed cat is actually another reward for a minor quest called Feed teh Cat. Having a pet is actually quite a luxury in Night City, where there are no animals left, aside from a few stray cats.
To get Nibbles the cat as your pet, you can find an empty cat food bowl left from V’s apartment down one of the hallways. There will be a shard next to the food bowl, and you have the option to put cat food inside if you have any. Next time you return, a cat will be present and you can adopt Nibbles as your own.
