Another week on the market, another batch of Cyberpunk 2077 bugs. Today’s highlight features some seemingly bugged audio during a phone call with Rogue – except it turns out the audio is perfectly fine.
Instead, the player realizes they’ve inadvertently summoned Rogue to their location while talking to them on the phone. The player quickly turns around to reveal Rogue, who’s been created out of thin air and is casually lounging on a non-existent chair. The bugged-out audio was simply overlapping conversations – one source of the audio was V’s phone, the other was the real-life Rogue who had somehow found their way to V’s location.
It’s not the first time players have reported this issue, but it’s one of the funniest – you can check it out in the short video below:
There’s a lot of speculation as to why this is happening to so many players. Some people think it’s simply how the developer coded in phone calls – to get the audio working properly during these segments, the team simply makes the appropriate NPC pop up off-screen somewhere nearby. Others say it’s just another one of the thousands of bugs that need to be ironed out in the coming months.
Whatever the cause, don’t expect it to be fixed soon. CD Projekt Red has a lot on its hands right now, and there are more pressing concerns that need to be addressed.
