Cyberpunk 2077’s life so far has been less than ideal and the game has evoked mixed emotions among fans. However, developer CD Projekt Red has promised that improvements are coming and recently released a rather large patch in hopes of fixing a number of issues that players have been experiencing.

Through the less-than-perfect release though, there is one thing that most fans seem to agree on: Johnny Silverhand is one of the best things to come out of Cyberpunk 2077. It probably helps that he’s played by Keanu Reeves – one of the most beloved actors on the planet – and some fans adored Johnny before even playing the game based on that fact alone. But luckily, Johnny Silverhand is as cool and badass as everyone had hoped. And what do fans do when they discover something they love? Make memes.

9 The Johnny Headache

Everyone has had a really bad headache at some point in time. This chart illustrates some of the areas that headaches generally cause pain, and none of them are very pleasant.

Imagine, then, waking up with Johnny Silverhand inside your head! Johnny is a very over-the-top person, and he doesn’t like living inside of someone else’s head, so this meme is probably extremely accurate.

8 Changing Lives

Nobody seems to mind that Johnny Silverhand is a domestic terrorist. All that matters is that he’s a super cool rockstar with a metal arm who looks a lot like Keanu Reeves. Besides, he only wants to stop big, evil corporations, right? Nobody likes those guys anyway.

Besides, if you look at this meme from V’s point-of-view, Johnny Silverhand is changing his life regardless of whether he likes it or not. Although, V doesn’t seem too thankful!

7 Not Your Girl

Who would have thought that your girl would have so much in common with Johnny Silverhand? If you’re lucky enough to have someone like this in your life, hold onto them, because Johnny is a person that a lot of people want in their lives right now!

To be fair, those are all qualities that can be found in a lot of people, and giving someone headaches probably isn’t the most sought-after trait. Still, you’ve got to take the bad with the good.

6 What Happened?

It’s unclear whether this meme is poking fun at Cyberpunk 2077 or life in general. It could be applied to many situations. Things can often start off so well, there are such high hopes for a particular outcome, and then it all goes downhill.

This discount Johnny Silverhand NPC illustrates that point perfectly. Fortunately, this is not how Johnny looks in the game, or fans would be a lot more upset with CD Projekt Red than they are now. There are some things that nobody should mess with, and that includes characters portrayed by Keanu Reeves.

5 Just Need To Take Care Of Some Business…

V tries to do the right thing by Johnny and offers him control of their body to take care of some important business. So, what does Johnny do? He goes and parties the night away.

There are two points to be made here. Firstly, it’s Johnny Silverhand, so would you really expect any different? Secondly, after being dead for 50 years and then having to be a passenger in someone else’s head, wouldn’t you want to make the most of the short time you had in control of a body after so long?

4 Keanu vs. Johnny

Knowing how much of an amazing person Keanu Reeves is, it really is strange to see him acting as Johnny Silverhand. Obviously, Johnny isn’t based on real-life Reeves, but it’s just normal to see the actor being polite, friendly, and amazing.

Imagine the shock, then, when fans meet the foul-mouthed, rude and violent Johnny Silverhand for the first time. However, he still remains weirdly loveable, despite his abrasive personality.

3 Red Or Blue?

Given that CD Projekt Red has confirmed that Reeves canonically exists within the Cyberpunk 2077 universe, is it such a stretch to think Neo could exist there also?

Or maybe in an alternate timeline, Johnny Silverhand is “the one.” Their worlds aren’t so different – programs being uploaded to the brain, virtual worlds, weird plugs in everyone’s head. The Matrix certainly would have been a different movie with Johnny as the main protagonist!

2 What You Really, Really Want

It would have been hilarious to hear Johnny Silverhand turn around and respond with “I’ll tell you what I want, what I really, really want!”. But given Johnny’s reputation as a hardcore rock star, it’s not likely that he’s a Spice Girls fan, although, everyone has their secret indulgences when it comes to music!

Although, as this meme illustrates, Johnny’s idea of “friends” isn’t really ideal. Unfortunately, V doesn’t have much of a choice, other than to ‘get with’ them, though.

1 Johnny Probably Loves Dogs Too

In this meme, Johnny Silverhand can relate to another fan-favorite Reeves character, John Wick. It can only be assumed that robot dogs are as loveable as real dogs, and considering Johnny Silverhand has a robotic arm, he probably relates to them even more.

It is highly likely, then, that Johnny would take after Wick in this situation and do whatever it takes to put an end to those that harm robot dogs in 2077.
