Up until a couple of weeks ago, Crysis Remastered didn’t have a clear release date following its delay earlier this summer, but now that its does, fans are eager to find out if their PCs will have what it takes to get the most out of Crytek’s polished-up re-release. Luckily for them, Crytek and port developer Saber Interactive have provided answers.

Few games have become as synonymous with high-end PC technology as Crysis. Back in the day, the game was notorious for pushing most of the computers of the late 2000s to their absolute limits with its incredibly detailed graphics, making “Can it run Crysis?” one of the definitive benchmarks of a PC’s capabilities. And now Crysis is coming to the Nintendo Switch, perhaps the clearest possible sign of the advancements gaming technology has made since then.

But for those planning on playing it on PC, the game will utilize modern technology to push the graphical envelope even further. Recent trailers have shown the various ways the visuals have been updated, including updated assets, enhanced lighting, the inclusion of ray-tracing, and even 8K textures. Naturally, this will have fans once more wondering if their computers will be able to handle Crysis, and now they can find out courtesy of the official specs released this week on Crysis Remastered’s Epic Game Store page.
