Crysis Remastered is coming, and it’s coming soon. A recent tweet by the official Crysis account reveals that the remaster will be coming July 23th on Nintendo Switch.

Who would have ever thought that Crysis (of all titles) would even be able to run on a portable console? The Switch version is looking extremely impressive, while offering many features such as enhanced graphics and even Gyro Aiming.

Crysis is one of the most well-known franchises that has delivered some of the best graphics in all of video games, with the notorious “Can it run Crysis, though” meme spawning from this series.

Receiving positive reviews across the board, it is no surprise that this game is coming to new consoles. The story is straightforward for an FPS. A rescue mission goes under when aliens invade an island. Where this game stands out, though, is the Nanosuit that the player is given.

The Nanosuit allows for a number of different ways to play. Considering how open Crysis is, the player has plenty of freedom. The Nanosuit offers many main and secondary abilities such as armor, super speed, enhanced vision, and superhuman strength. The most commonly used ability is cloak, especially on higher difficulties where it is essentially a necessity.

The game has received many delays for coming to current consoles. There was supposed to be an official reveal, but with sudden leaks, a delay was decided upon instead. The Switch version is also coming before the PS4 and Xbox One versions. The release dates for those versions are still to be determined.

The pre-order pages for each version were supposed to go up earlier this month. Unfortunately, that was also delayed.

Thankfully, though, we received this Switch news, which hopefully means that the others will follow suit shortly. That said, some fans are extremely skeptical about how the Switch will be able to handle such an intensive game. Even though it was released originally in 2007, it still takes some strong hardware to run properly.
