Crunchyroll Games has just launched Mass for the Dead - an Isekai dark fantasy mobile RPG based on the popular anime Overlord. This is the first mobile game to be based on the series.
Okay so, the game has actually been around for a while already - albeit in Japan only -having been released there early last year. Since then, the game has surpassed 4 million downloads and has accumulated a significant social following.
Mass for the Dead will feature turn-based command battles, competitions alongside friends, double speed, and auto-mode capabilities to battle against enemies. Fans of the popular anime will get the chance to play as their favorite characters, including Momonga and Albedo. To make the experience that much more authentic, the original Japanese Overlord voice actors including Satoshi Hino, Yumi Hara, and Sumire Uesaka will feature, accompanied by English subtitles.
According to Crunchyroll Games, this game is part of their “broader commitment to building out a full slate of 360-degree experiences to deepen the community’s engagement with their favorite shows.”
