Crash Bandicoot is making a huge comeback in 2020 and a mobile version of the PlayStation favorite is coming to Android and iOS pretty soon.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time was teased on June 18 and will launch for PS4 and Xbox One on October 2. In the meantime, pre-registration is open for Crash Bandicoot: On the Run, a mobile runner featuring the iconic character Crash and his sister Coco.
The Mobile version of the game, developed by Candy Crush makers King, was teased on Twitter earlier this week and interested gamers can now pre-register for the title that will see Crash and Coco go up against Doctor Neo Cortex. Players will race through well-known locations from previous games such as Lost City and Turtle Woods, where they will clash with classic enemies such as Scorporilla and Nitrus Brio.
The game quietly launched in Malaysia in April, with King revealing a smaller-scale run. Of course, the full version has a lot more on offer; levels aren’t thought to be linear as players can traverse alternate routes and snag various secret items. Everything collected during runs can be used in the base-building part of the game to assist Coco in upgrading the operations hub.
“Use Crash’s unstoppable energy and let the fur fly as you run, spin and slide your way to stop the dastardly Dr. Neo Cortex from destroying all worlds.”

Players can customize characters, craft cool weapons, and play alongside friends.
Players who take advantage of the pre-register offer will get the Blue Hyena skin shown in the clip above and can head over to King’s official site to do so if they’re iOS users. Android users can do so via Google Play.
There’s nothing that points to a release date just yet but the mobile version of the classic game looks pretty fun, as well as worth the wait - unless you’re in Malaysia and have already had the experience.
