Crash Bandicoot Mobile has quietly launched on Android, but for the time being the game is only available to select players in Malaysia.
A Twitter leak earlier this year revealed that a Crash Bandicoot mobile game was being developed by King, the company behind Candy Crush Saga. As is the case with many mobile games based on popular platformers, it will be an easy to pick up and play runner that takes recognizable characters through familiar levels and worlds.
As for when Crash Bandicoot Mobile will launch, that information was not divulged. However, it seems as if Crash fans won’t have long to wait. In fact, some Android owners can play the game right now. The game has unexpectedly popped up in the Google Play store, but only for potential players in certain parts of the world.
In fact, since people noticed Crash Bandicoot Mobile was available for download, King has clarified that the game has only been released for select players in Malaysia. It’s part of a small-scale playtest. It likely means a worldwide release on both iOS and Android isn’t far off, though. As for when that wider release will come, King will be revealing that information in due course.
