Eggs are key raw ingredients in Cozy Grove that will help you craft food items. Food is crafted by speaking to the Baker Bear known as Allison Fisher. She is the sixth bear you can unlock, who will take up space directly above your first camp. The spirit birds and spirit deer you’ll find yourself adopting will need the recipes Allison can make. Feeding your deer and birds allows you to keep them happy and you want your pets to be happy so that you can collect a bountiful harvest from them.
Spirit birds drop eggs when they’re ready for harvest. They’ll drop one egg per harvest, no matter how many hearts they have. Sometimes to feed your birds for harvest, you need some of these eggs. Combined with the fact that they only drop one egg, it can become troublesome trying to collect enough ingredients to cook when you need to. So how do you get more eggs?
Adopt A Lot Of Birds
The first step is to have a lot of birds. They don’t cost a lot once you’re a few weeks into your game. Having two birds you consistently feed is nice, but they still only drop one egg each. With multiple birds to harvest, you’ll get more eggs faster.
- Be sure to place the spirit birds and spirit deer in Cozy Grove near furniture items they like so that they drop materials when you feed them. Petting your animals acts as a temporary buff, filling the hearts a small amount on top of what they already have.
The only downside to having a lot of pets is that there’s a limit to how many can get hungry at once. If you have more deer than you do birds, your deer will probably ask for food more than your birds will and you’ll get less eggs. Upon launch of Cozy Grove, only five spirit birds and deer alike could get hungry at a time. The developers have since raised this to eight.
Purchase Eggs From Mr. Kit
Mr. Kit will sell eggs but only one per day. One egg may seem useless to you, but it’s better than no eggs at all. Buying rare materials like cocoa beans and eggs from Mr. Kit every day will also add up in your storage over time for when you truly need them in the future.
It’s important to take advantage of the small, yet valuable inventory he keeps. It’s also worth noting that the more you upgrade his shop, the more items you’ll have access to.
Purchase Eggs From Pandam
Pandam is a special trader who only visits your Cozy Grove on Wednesdays. They will always be down by the docks, south of your camp that has Flamey. Pandam will sell rare items, from dozens of eggs to a couple cocoa beans and unique furniture.
They sell more quantity than Mr. Kit and the eggs and cocoa beans aren’t pricey, so you should also take advantage of Wednesdays too. With multiple birds, buying eggs from Mr. Kit everyday, and buying bulk on Wednesdays from Pandam, you’ll never run out of eggs.
