It is without a doubt that Remedy Entertainment’s Control is one of the most critically-acclaimed games of 2019, winning several awards in various categories. Now, players who still haven’t played Control will be happy to know that the game is heavily discounted right now for consoles.
Control is currently available for $29.99, which is 50% off its original list price of $59.99 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It is currently unknown whether this price will be permanent, but it is worth mentioning that other retailers are also offering the same price. To the uninitiated, Control is a 2019 action-adventure game that revolves around the character of Jesse and the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC), the organization tasked to containing and studying supernatural phenomena.
Just last month, Control was able to sweep several accolades at the DICE Awards 2020. Although the game wasn’t able to take home Game of The Year, Control still raked in awards in four categories including Action Game of the Year, Outstanding Achievement in Art Direction, Outstanding Achievement in Game Direction, and Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition.

Several days ago, Remedy Entertainment finally revealed the release date of Control’s first-ever DLC expansion, which will be called The Foundation. At the moment, details on what The Foundation will be about are still unavailable, but it is widely believed that it will reveal the fate of Helen Marshall, who went missing during the base game. The Foundation is set to release on March 26, and Remedy Entertainment previously released a short teaser trailer to give players a glimpse of what to expect on the upcoming DLC expansion.
Meanwhile, apart from The Foundation and another upcoming DLC expansion for Control, Remedy Entertainment confirmed in its latest financial report last month that the studio is currently developing three new games. According to Remedy, three teams within the studio are working on a first-person shooter, a live service title, and a new game whose details are still shrouded in mystery at the moment.
Control is now available for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
