Eleven years after the series’ initial release, the cast of the hit tv show Community reunites for a table read to raise money for charity.

Community is a popular sitcom show, created by Dan Harmon, that aired on NBC and Yahoo! Screen back in 2009. The TV show centers around a group of students attending a Colorado community college and stars famous actors Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Donald Glover, and Ken Jeong.

To raise money for coronavirus relief charity groups, the cast of actors met online to stream a table read-through for one of their popular episodes, “Cooperative Polygraphy.” During that stream, cast members Donald Glover and Danny Pudi talked about what sort of plot a Community movie would have.

Pudi comments, saying, “I love the idea of Troy being lost, and Abed’s mission is to go find him, try to track someone down. That could be kind of fun.” Dan Harmon chimes in by adding, “It writes itself. Just put in some Die Hard references.”

While it is only a mere hypothetical, the idea of Abed getting into trouble chasing down Troy does sound amusing. Even Donald Glover agrees that he likes movies that center around that kind of plot, so perhaps the possibility for a Community movie could happen soon if they are all interested.

The stream answered fan-submitted questions on Twitter from the official CommunityTV account and raised over $100,000 for Frontline Foods and World Central Kitchen. In the end, the cast successfully did something significant to contribute to the world while also giving us something fun to think about.
