A lot of players are looking forward to the release of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 Remastered. The original games were a hit with players and spawned a huge Tony Hawk game franchise and fans are hoping that the remastered titles can recapture what made the original fun. Many will be keen to try a demo of the game to ensure that the gameplay is still fluid and engaging. One way to obtain a free demo will be through orders at the Mexican Grill restaurant Chipotle.

The Tony Hawk Pro Skater series began in 1999 and started a skating trend in gaming, unfortunately, this trend began to fade and the games could not adapt to the needs of gamers. With that said, many are still nostalgic for the 90s music and gameplay that featured in the original games. The Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 Remastered promises to bring back the soundtrack and trailers suggest that the gameplay will be similar to the original.

Chipotle is celebrating the return of the franchise with a Tony Hawk burrito, which comes filled with brown rice, black beans, chicken, tomatillo-red chili salsa, and guacamole. While these ingredients make up a pretty standard burrito from the chain, the free demo of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 Remastered that is redeemable with the item will excite players. The first 2,000 orders of this burrito through the Chipotle app or the website will be rewarded with a complimentary demo. However, players keen for a burrito and a demo will need to act quickly as the promotion is live now and will run until August 14.

The initial announcements about the remastered game have been received positively. Commitments such as no microtransactions in Tony Hawks Pro Skater 1+2 Remastered has pleased fans and it seems that the game will be a genuine attempt to recreate the magic of the original games for a contemporary audience. However, the expectations of gamers have changed since 1999, and releases such as Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 which was riddled with bugs damaged the reputation of the series. With these factors in mind,  many will be keen to try the game before they commit to a purchase.

Whether Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 Remastered can live up to the expectation surrounding it remains to be seen. However, it seems that players can test out the quality of the game with a burrito through this promotion.
