Supermassive Games has released its first development diary video in the making of The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope.
We’re getting close to the summer release of the second game in The Dark Pictures Anthology from Supermassive Games, and that means it’s teaser time. The latest dev diary gives us all the background info we could ever hope for without giving away too much of the game’s terrifying plot, so feel free to dive right in.
For those new to the series, The Dark Pictures Anthology will total 8 horror games that are all based on either modern stories or ancient myths. In the case of Little Hope, the story revolves around the New England Switch Trials of the late 1600s, and how they’re connected to both a group of modern-day college students and a 1970s family.
Like the previous game, Man of Medan, Little Hope will have a “choose your own adventure” style of gameplay where decisions can have far-reaching consequences for the plot. You might find a means of escape or you might unwittingly kill one of your characters. Also like Man of Medan, Little Hope will include couch co-op and two-player online gameplay, or you can play solo if you’re the fearless sort.
The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope arrives on the PS4, Xbox One, and Windows PC later this summer.
