Pull up a chair, stay awhile, and listen to KK Slider’s secret songs from Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
There are many reasons to play Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Some might find the idea of settling a previously deserted island to be appealing. Some might enjoy the game’s robust capitalist structure that provides interest-free loans and ludicrously large sums for fish and bugs (something that may actually happen if current extinction trends continue).
But the main reason to play Animal Crossing: New Horizons is to get KK Slider to come to your island to put on a concert. The game technically doesn’t end when you accomplish this feat, but the credits roll so this is technically where the Nintendo developers thought that the player had beat the game.
After you get KK Slider to show up once, he’ll reappear every Saturday evening to put on a free concert. You can make requests from Slider’s repertoire of 95 different songs, provided you know the exact spelling of that song.
And if you don’t know the exact spelling of that song? Then you might not even know since KK Slider still puts on a show anyway. He just doesn’t use your request and instead plays one of three different “error” songs.
GameXplain does their thing in the video below, revealing each of three different error songs in no particular order. One of them is the theme to Animal Crossing: Wild World, while the other two are secret songs that you can’t get in any other way.
And if you can’t get enough of KK Slider (and let’s be honest, you probably can’t), the internet has a new meme that you might enjoy. Artists and other talented folks are replacing iconic album covers with KK Slider versions. Each is a fantastic reimaging of what the world would be like if KK Slider was the only act in town. And since the coronavirus pandemic has completely shut down the music industry, KK Slider really IS the only act in town.
