Chaosium has opened the lids on The Dragon’s Eye, the newest source book in development for the RuneQuest: Roleplaying in Glorantha tabletop roleplaying game. No publication date has been released, and only sparse info overall has been made public. But here’s what we do know.

The Dragon’s Eye source book will give RuneQuest GMs detailed information on a number of Glorantha’s locations, including its namesake Dragon’s Eye, Old Wind Temple, the Wasp Nest, Wilmskirk, and others. The info will give you the knowledge and flexibility to use these locations in your campaigns as you best see fit.

The source book will further expand your campaign possibilities with multiple adventure hooks to engage your players with. A selection of NPCs will also be included to help immerse your players in many of the locations around Glorantha, allowing you to customize your world and their adventures as desired.

The Dragon’s Eye source book was initially titled “Your Glorantha May Vary” to represent the collection of locations it contains, and the various recommendations given as to ways each location may fit into new and existing Glorantha campaigns. The source book aims to give you the info and inspiration needed to help make your campaigns adaptable and interesting for both you and your players.

Leading The Dragon’s Eye source book design is esteemed writer and game designer Jonathan Tweet. Tweet’s library of previous outstanding work in the tabletop roleplaying game realm includes 13th Age, Dungeons & Dragons 2nd and 3rd editions, Ars Magica, Over the Edge, and the Strangers in Prax supplement for RuneQuest 3rd Edition with Mike Dawson and Michael O’Brien. In 2018, he and Rob Heinsoo (Dungeons & Dragons 4th Edition) teamed up to design and write 13th Age Glorantha as a tribute to honor Greg Stafford’s World of Glorantha. Jason Durall (RuneQuest, Basic Roleplaying) and Jeff Richard (HeroQuest, The Guide to Glorantha) make up the production team supporting development of The Dragon’s Eye.

The Dragon’s Eye announcement post is up on the Chaosium website, and hopefully there will be more info posted there soon. In the meantime, plug into the Chaosium Twitter channel to catch live info as it gets released.
