Borderlands 3 is turning a whopping one year old in just under two months, and Gearbox Software wants you to celebrate in style with the upcoming Borderlands 3 Anniversary Celebration. 

The devs revealed info about what we can expect from the celebration in a blog post yesterday:

Whether you’ve been with Borderlands 3 from the beginning or you’ve just started your journey across the stars aboard Sanctuary III, we want to sincerely thank you, the Borderlands community, for all the support, feedback, streams, videos, fan art, cosplay, and so much more.

The celebrations will comprise of six new mini events, with one launching every week from July 30 through to September 10, 2020, just about coinciding with the exact one-year anniversary of the game on September 13. The events will be activated via a hotfix, taking place every Thursday.

So what will the events be? Here’s all we know so far, including the respective dates and times:

ECHOcast Overload

During this mini event, you will have a better chance of scoring loot during Rare Chest Events in the ECHOcast Twitch extension.

This event will run between 9 AM PT on July 30th to 8:59 AM PT on August 6th.

Bonus Boss Loot

This week, most bosses in the game will have an increased chance of dropping Legendary loot.

This event will run between 9 AM PT on August 6th to 8:59 AM PT on August 13th.

Loot Monster Mayhem

Will feature increased spawn rates for Loot variant enemies.

This event will run between 9 AM PT on August 13th to 8:59 AM PT on August 20th.

Show Me The Eridium

This one is all about that Eridium: increased Eridium drops and Eridium item discounts abound!

This event will run between 9 AM PT on August 20th to 8:59 AM PT on August 27th.

Mayhem Made Mild

It seems that during this week, all Easy modifiers in Mayhem Mode will be activate-able.

This event will run between 9 AM PT on August 27th to 8:59 AM PT on September 3rd.

Making It Rain

In this last week, enemies will drop more in-game cash. Aw yeah.

This event will be rounding up the six weeks of celebrations, running between 9 AM PT on September 3rd to 8:59 AM PT on September 10th.

You’ll be reminded of the theme and any relevant specifics for each mini event in each week’s hotfix notes.

By the way, all six mini events are free and all you need to participate in them is a copy of Borderlands 3. You’ll also get to benefit from their effects whilst playing the game’s DLC Bounty of Blood, as well as during the other campaign add-ons which are included in the game’s Season Pass.
