Announced a few weeks ago with the reveal of Dan Hibiki, Capcom will be including two fan costumes in the upcoming fifth season for Street Fighter V. Set to be released in Winter 2020, the company has started a Twitter poll for fans to vote on which designs they like the best.
Currently, there are 12 entries that include the characters Juri, Guile, Zangief, Sakura, R. Mika, Alex, Vega, Laura, Balrog, E. Honda, and Menat. Juri gets some extra love with two choices, but voting for your favorites is simple. Just give a like on Twitter and Capcom will tally up the results on August 31, 2020.
So far, it looks like Juri will be getting both of her costumes. The two choices have the most likes between all of the options. I’m partial to the Gangster Alex costume, but then I suppose this is how democracy works. If we don’t like the results, we only have ourselves to blame.
Capcom could always be generous and include a few extra costumes, but we’re going to have to wait and see on that. Some of these designs almost look like completely different characters, so I wouldn’t mind seeing Capcom use inspiration from those for whatever Street Fighter VI ends up becoming…in 2022.
